Love this place!

The more casual version of Fare Well (same owners I believe). You’ll get fat living near this place :p

Great place!!

It was very busy when I got there. I think if I had ordered actual food from the kitchen, I would have had to wait but no harm in that. I got a cupcake and one of their donuts to go and it was delicious. The ladies at the front counter were very friendly and patient with all of my questions/indecisiveness. The atmosphere was very friendly and inviting. I was like a kid in a candy store!

Pros: It’s all vegan!, It’s right across from a large shopping area., The food is delicious and affordable.

Overpriced latte

We came here as we passed it by on our way to Best Buy and were excited to see a vegan bakery.

We ordered a rhubarb strawberry muffin and a peach almond muffin. I also ordered a vanilla latte with soy milk. Was shocked to discover after we paid, that in the small lettering on the menu it is mentioned that you pay $4,- extra for coconut or soymilk. In a VEGAN bakery. I was shocked, because it was completely unclear to me as to what else they would make the latte with if I hadn't mentioned that I wanted soy milk and also, even in non-vegan establishments I have never before paid more than $1,- extra for the soy-, oat-, almond- or coconut milk.

This left a sour taste in my mouth as the latte was also disgusting and had no taste of vanilla whatsoever.
The muffins were okay, but the experience wasn't the best I had overall.

Pros: Muffins are tasty

Cons: Coffee is bad, You get charged an extra $4 for soy or coconut mil

a long-time favorite that often feels lazy

everything's solid, though rarely impressive. they've all the tools to make this a stellar joint, but it often feels lazy. entrees oughta be more substantial. you often feel the nickel and diming w/ portioning. it's uncomfortable.

Milk Shakes so good!

We visited Sticky Fingers Bakery after dinner at Meridian Pint for a delicious night of vegan fare. I enjoyed the peanut butter and chocolate milk shake and my family loved the peanut butter cookies and a cupcake. The staff is very friendly and it's a close walk from the Columbia Heights metro stop. It can be hard to find vegan ice cream, and I know we'll be back!

Pros: So many great choices, Reasonable Prices for generous servings

4.5 stars on baked goods but 2-3 stars on cafe items

I really wanted to like Sticky Fingers. I had planned and looked forward to going there for both lunch and dessert all week.

We had our lunch there (on a Thur) and bought the desserts to go. We ordered the cheesy Mac, TLT (tempeh lettuce & tomatoes), California burger, chorizo tacos, and tomato soup. We got sides of sweet potato fries and quinoa salad.

My kids took a bite of the cheesy Mac and refused to eat more of it. My husband took a bite and said it did not at all taste like Mac & cheese (which in itself would be fine) and the consistency (very thick in a goopy sort of way) was hard to overcome.

The TLT and California burger were both fine but tasted bland and not "fresh" (I.e. processed) and were barely warm.

The sides were the worst... Sweet potato fries were not crispy or hot... It was soggy and in fact my kids thought it was steamed carrots (!). Quinoa salad has a weird flowery-herb taste to it but otherwise very bland. The tomato soup was like a salsa, but mushier.

To be fair in my review, the desserts that we bought home -- different flavor cupcakes, brownie, and the cowvin cookie -- they were glorious. Moist cake and rich and flavorful cake and icing / cream.

In all, I am not sure if I would go back (I live about 40 mins away) intentionally, but if I were in the area and craving something sweet, I would unreservedly go there to pick up desserts.

Pros: Baked goods are delicious, All Vegan

Cons: Cafe items are really not very good at all, On the expensive side

really good mac n cheese plus bake goods!

If you come here, must get their baked goods. Not so sweet and sugary.
Also considered their mac n cheese the best so far (more than NuVegan - in my opinion).
A can't missed place if you are in DC!

Slight disappointment that the fries came out lukewarm.

Pros: yum pastries , big portions of food, inexpensive

Sweet baked goods, plus savory meals

It's nice to have a vegan bakery around to appease the sweet tooth now and then. The baked goods on hand during my visit were mostly cupcakes and cookies, plus a pretty good sweet bun. (For fancier bakery items, try their sister, Fare Well.) They also have savory meals, which I didn't try on this visit.
