Glasgow International Comedy Festival

In town to see Susie McCabe so a stop off at Stereo was a must.
Congee savoury rice porridge with aubergines for me and haggis bon bons for my wife.
The 6 degree North Cassis sour beer was the perfect accompaniment

Pros: 100% vegan, 100% delicious , 100% great service

Speziell und das ist gut so!

Nicht die typischen veganen Gerichte, sondern eher spezielle Sachen und ungewöhnlichere Gewürze, und dabei suuuuper lecker! Nur leider etwas zu laut zum unterhalten…

Service non existent, food okay, pints good

Stereo could improve their service with a self checkout machine. Sat for 35 mins without a menu, despite being seated by staff and asking twice. Then took almost an hour to take my order and when I asked for the bill I was forgotten about and had to pay at bar.
Food was okay, pints were nice.

Pros: Reasonable price

Cons: Service, Watery mash (not creamy)

Super yummy and special meals

Not even was the whole menu vegan, but also it wasn’t just about “usual” meals, but special ones. Loved it. Super welcoming space.

Awesome tiramisu

I had what is probably the best tiramisu I've ever tasted here. The dumplings were nice too, but the tiramisu really slaps!

Pros: Good ambience, Meticulous menu, Friendly staff

Tasty but slow and inattentive service

Good to have some more interesting Asian-inspired small plates and main options than a lot of the other vegan restaurants. Service is awful though. Don't go if you're in a rush!

Great place with great food

Had a haggis bon bon sandwich which was fantastic, the restaurant itself is also spacious with great ambiance. Really want to try the baked camemert next time we go to Glasgow. Friendly and lovely staff as well

Really busy spot!

Be sure to book. I had haggis bon bons and mash, it was good but very very saucey and strong pepper taste, overall did enjoy it. Apple pierogi with ice cream was lovely!

hidden gem

hidden up a lane, so hard to find unless you know it’s there, although it’s actually massive! we went at lunch, great food, service was excellent and was £25 for two lots of soup & sandwich, two drinks and a coffee, which i thought was pretty decent. they also allow dogs 🐶

Pros: food was really good

Cons: hard to find

Vegan Haggis!

The daughter and I loved the Haggis Bon Bons over mash. My hubby loved the broccolini with polenta and luscious gremolata. He said the double fried chips were the best he's ever had. The Black Forest Tiramisu was divine!

Get in my belly.

Yes, this is the place to go to. Down a little lane with the only signage above the door. We walked past it at first. Greeted and served by very friendly staff. The menu given was different than what I downloaded from the website so just a heads up.

We ordered the Buffalo Burger with chips and the Kimchi & Grilled Cheese with chips. They both were absolutely incredible. Their hand cut chips were perfect. I cannot wait to go again. Recommended.

Great bar to hang out in

This review is based on the drinks and late night ambiance. Got there too late for food but had a nice time standing near the bar. The concert venue has a separate entrance and requires the purchase of a ticket.

Excellent food, gorgeous building

This place can get busy, we walked up early tea time on a Wednesday and earliest table available was a couple of hours later
This gave us some chill time at the hotel before heading back. Pleased that the place is busy as hopefully business doing well.
I had the buffalo burger and my husband had the haggis balls. He was really pleased with his main and I enjoyed the burger. My husband also ordered the cannoli which he liked, especially the cream.

Service was friendly, it was fast until the end of the meal where we were waiting to request the bill, we eventually paid at the bar.

The setting provides lots of talking point with posters for up and coming events on display. We could hear an event going on on the floor below (I think) but the sound didn’t interfere with conversation.
The building is a Charles Rennie Mackintsoh, one of those times in Glasgow (which are many) where you need to look up to appreciate the architecture

Pros: 100% vegan menu , Gaza aid charity dish on atm

Lovely all around

We loved the food, ambiance, and lovely staff at Stereo! We had the Nam Khao and Buffalo Burger, both were delicious. For dessert, we shared the Black Forest Tiramisu, which reminded us more of Black Forest cake, but it was really good anyway. The vibe was really nice and welcoming and staff was friendly and attentive. All in all, a definite recommendation!

Food is unreal!

We had 4 dishes and 2 cocktails: dumplings, haggis, Camembert and chips, and the drinks were black currant gimlet and passionfruit margarita. Every single mouthful was incredible, so so tasty. I could happily eat there every day. Huge choice of drinks and the staff were friendly.

Pros: Choice of food, Choice of drinks , Staff

A welcoming place

Stumbled in here almost by accident because we were just looking for a place to get some chips around the Central station but wow, what a nice surprise! The Stereo is a very welcoming, integrative place that’s here for everybody, and besides the nice atmosphere, the food is nothing but great - finally found a place that offers vegan Haggis! Absolute banger of a vegan restaurant, would love to come here again!

Pros: Amazing food, welcoming atmosphere , great beer

Great food, nice staff

We had the haggi, camembert and the greek salad. The haggi was great, probably the best and the camembert was very good. The greek salad was okay but not the best.
