Good taste, a bit of effort

We found two vegan options (after letting them know beforehand through the phone). After a bit of explaining (ie. no mayo but ketchup) we got our orders. The Indonesian dish was great - the salad came with a non-vegan sauce initially. After asking they provided us with an alternative, pink-looking vegan sauce.
Unfortunately, they did the same with a sides salad, but brought another one once asked.

Pros: Tastes good, Patient staff

Cons: Brought out non-vegan food initially, Not a lot of vegan options

Have some things to improve

We went here today to try the place out and food, for the biggest part, was fine. The soups as starters were tasty, served with bread. The tajine with couscous was good as well but the rice in the pokebowl was overcooked and almost dough like. I asked if the sorbet dessert was dairy free and was told yes but it still came with vanilla ice cream first that wasn't vegan and I had to ask for a new one.

Service wasn't the best. They were fairly kind but slow. First we thought they were just a bit understaffed and busy so we were understanding but service didn't improve as it got quieter. They only took our starters at first and when we finished those it took at least half an hour for them to come back to take our mains and only then because we asked. Same happened again later, the plates from the main dishes were taken away but they didn't ask if we wanted anything for dessert or maybe coffee or tea. They seemed to be busier with their 'regulars' who were just there for beers but wanted attention every 10 minutes.

All in all it wasn't horrible or super bad but it wasn't super great either. Maybe we will try again later.
