Dependable vegan options

Stella’s is one of my go-tos for meals (especially breakfast) with omnivores. They can have their pancakes, eggs, bacon, etc. and I get a great breakfast. The Vegan Mexican rules at any time of day. Dragon Bowl and Grilled Veg sandwich (no feta, no pesto) w/ arugula or house salad are lunchtime favourites (dressing on the side). The Pembina location’s rooftop patio is a plus in summer.

Pros: Varied omni and vegan menu, Housemade breads, jam, dressings, sauces, Rooftop patio in summer

Cons: Only one too-large vegan dessert option, Staff are too friendly (kidding. Dependably good)

Good food but...

Amazing Mexican breakfast, vegan chocolate cake, and vanilla lattes... Stella's is infamous in Winnipeg for not treating their employees well though unfortunately. Still, I always enjoy my food. Wish the cinnamon buns were still vegan.

Many options

Pleasantly surprised by the amount of options there were. I only tried the pad Thai but it was quite good. I would give it 4/5 but would come back to try other options.

Excellent Vegan Options and Delicious Food!!!

I got the Pad Thai which was amazing! It felt like such an indulgent meal I’d never guess it was vegan but it was. My mom got the Quinoa Mushroom burger and roasted potatoes. The burger fell apart a bit but was not bad. The roasted potatoes were basically thick cut home made fries and were delicious! This place was perfect for our mixed party some vegan and some not. I will be returning every time I’m in Winnipeg!

Pros: Many Vegan Options, Pad Thai was amazing

Pretty Good Breakfast

I got the Vegan Mexican delivered on door dash. It was a good balance of flavours, good guacamole, really good fresh salsa, and the potatoes were delicious.

Pros: Decent selection of vegan options, On door dash

Cons: A little pricey

Few vegan options

Pretty good spot for breakfast. Not many places have vegan breakfast around Winnipeg. Tofu scramble was great!

Pros: Good price , Vegan breakfast, lunch and dinner, Has parking

Yum!

I almost got the Vegan Mexican because on my way to my table I caught a glimpse of some delectable looking refried beans. But I decided I wanted something that would come with toast and jam. So I went with the Veggie Café. Delicious. I was a little disappointed to see that Stella's has changed their jam since whenever I last ate jam there (likely 2015-ish... so not surprised). The veggie patties and hashbrowns were a little spicy for my taste but I am a coward when it comes to spice.
We brought my almost 92-year-old grandfather (a very picky eater who barely speaks English) with us and he described his burger as "better than McDonalds". So Stella's is officially old-man-meat-eater approved.

Pros: Rooftop patio (seasonal), Best staff
