Good food in a small town

I feel slightly conflicted. Normally I would not recommend a place like this as they heavily serve meat. But as Kiruna is a town with very limited vegan options the fact there are options here is a massive plus.
We had the “drumsticks” and chips with bbq sauce. It was made to order so came out hot and tasted really good.

Cool place, good grub

I found the fake meat—which is from a brand I’m not familiar with, as it seems to be a Swedish company—to be really good. This is a good place to grab a bite if you’re in Kiruna, especially for lunch. Get there early as a lot of tour groups stop through and the seating inside the tent is limited. The tent is very warm.

Some vegans might be put off by the fact that there are animal hides on the benches. I assumed they were real but did not to investigate because I didn’t want to interact with it if it was, which I assumed to be a safe bet.

I understand that hides and furs are more common in this part of the world because it gets so cold, and I was able to ignore it, but I know some people are even more sensitive than I am and might be upset to see that. I’m not sure how avoidable hides are in Kiruna in general, so I don’t necessarily think this is a deterrent, but it is worth mentioning in case someone prefers to go elsewhere. There are also some meats on the menu that some might find upsetting (reindeer, moose) but I don’t find that more upsetting than any other dead animal.

There’s not a ton of options in the area so I am grateful to this place for having some solid vegan options and would definitely recommend it. I offer those caveats just so that nobody is blindsided, as I hadn’t seen it mentioned in other reviews.

Good, fast, friendly

Stopped here when I was pressed for time before a tour. They were so helpful, had my food ready fast after I explained my time crunch. And the food is tasty. Be sure to try the warm linganberry juice!

Awesome Swedish vegan option

This place is so cool. Love the atmosphere and really friendly staff. The food was absolutely delicious and really filling. Such a nice atmosphere, with warm fire and a really unique Lapland experience

Unique fast food place

Tiny food truck with seating inside a sizeable teepee. Had a sub for lunch, it was big and really good. It didn't come with cheese though, as I expected from the above description. Unique place, quite an attraction!

Pros: Friendly staff that you can have a chat with

Cons: I always find sitting on animal pelts a bit morbid

Amazing Food

There's one vegan option and it was delicious. You have a choice of salad, fries, or sub. We got subs and it was phenomenal. If we lived here we would definitely be regulars! It is a good truck but has a teepee seating area with a fire inside that was super warm.

Awesome fake meat

This truck is located at the gas station. Really awesome fake meat with mushrooms and onions and fries. You can also take a salad as side dish.

Pros: Very tasty, fries were good too

Cons: Normal portion 160 SEK is a bit expensive.

Best oumph of my life!

This place is a food truck at a gas station but don't let that fool you - the food is delicious!

It has a tipi tent where you can have your meal, and in summer it has outdoor seating with a few tables.

You can choose between a oumph-mix-thing with salad, an oumph-mix-thing with fries or oumph-mix-thing inside a big piece of bread. The staff recommended the bread thing as it was their "signature" haha. I got it for 120 SEK which I think was quite expensive but it was absolutely delicious! Best oumph of my life!

One of the staff is really friendly and chatty, a real nice person to talk to :)

If I'm ever stuck in Kiruna again I'll definitely go here again. I'm giving it 3 stars because I think they could focus a bit more on their vegan meals, you don't get the mushroom since they're fried in butter for example.

Pros: Best oumph of my life!!, Super friendly staff

Cons: A bit expensive

Great vegan/veg fast food

This place was a lifesaver after getting off the airport bus into town, very conveniently located in the town center. Disregard the fact that it’s in a gas station parking lot and just go. You’ll be grateful. The food truck has vegan (oumph) and veg (halloumi) sub sandwiches and also bowls, great fries, and really good hot lingonberry cider. It’s a good mock-up of the Philly cheesesteak. Super nice, chatty and funny employees and you get to eat by a campfire in a Sami teepee. 10/10 would eat again.

Pros: Tasty, Inexpensive, Friendly

Cons: Chilly in winter, Relatively limited menu, In a gas station parking lot
