Fresh and tasty vegan tacos! - Edit
Being vegan on a road trip, finding healthy food options can be a little challenging, but we found this friendly local place in Tehachapi. The menu has a vegan burger as one option, but I really lit up when I saw the menu listing for black bean tacos. They arrived to the table and I was pleased! Very fresh and simple. The corn tortillas were light, the black beans weren’t salty or canned tasting, and the avocado was perfect. Even the salsa tasted homemade. I was impressed! This place is a good choice if you’re driving through the area and want healthy and plant-based food.
