Good Burger

The burger was okay, the patty was a bit too crisp for my liking. But for the price you get a decent burger with fries.

Bonus points for the staff being aware as I only ordered the burger without cheese and they asked it they should make it vegan (I assume they changed the bun then).

Pros: Friendly vegan-aware staff

Cons: Sriracha mayo is vegan, isn't it?!

Ok if you've not tried other options

One course available (no desserts): vegetarian burger without the cheese or mayo. The chips were decent but the burger is unsurprisingly super dry and uninspiring.

It's a very popular restaurant and I was able to nab a table for two near the bar which was super cosy. Despite a warning of at least an hour to eat given a large group of c. 15 people who had just arrived, the dish came out within 10-15 minutes.

I noticed another review here complaining about arctic foxes hanging over the artificial fire. Yes. There are also skins of some animal hanging about. As also the case with other restaurants in the remote arctic (and notwithstanding similar outraged reviews on here) there's a good argument to be had that you're lucky to even have more than one vegan option that isn't a falafel wrap (certainly light years more here than in the Faroe Islands by way of example). You're not eating them and you weren't responsible for their outcome. Questions have to be raised otherwise as to what a tourist was thinking by coming out to a town that only exists because of whaling.

No vegan options

As of last weeks visit there were no vegan options here anymore. They also had arctic foxes hanging over the fire place. Left pretty quickly!

Best veggie burger on the archipelago

Title says it all, although the burger is technically vegetarian the staff said that if you remove the cheese it will become vegan and in all honestly this burger does not need cheese in the slightest. It isn't dry, the ratatouille is magical and the bun is grilled to perfection 👌🏻
