Variety of unique vegan options - Edit
Great vegan options including 'chickless' burger, fish & chips, a pie, etc. Also v nice desserts e.g. apple pie and Bakewell tart. Service was quite fast & friendly, and they were happy for us to get the fish & chips to take away so we could enjoy it on the beach. Myself and my non-vegan brother really liked the vegan food here. Definitely recommend stopping by!

Plenty Options For Vegans - Edit
Greene King Pub Company who own The Station introduced a full vegan menu, as their vegan options have proved so popular, so you can have a three course meal, which is excellent.
Read moreI went through the wine list prior to our visit and was disappointed non were vegan friendly, which is bizarre when they offer a vegan menu, after all we vegans like our wine. I passed my comments back to Greene King, via their social media team and hope they address this issue.
I ordered fish and chips made with V Bites fishless steaks, served with either peas or mushy peas and my husband ordered the miso and hoisin burger.
My fish and chips was delicious and I love Greene King chose a soya free fish product and I preferred it to banana blossom fish I have had in the past. Hubby loved his burger served with top notch seasoned fries, he could not fault it. I later found out his burger was on a non vegan bun, which was my fault as I ordered a miso burger, not realising there was a vegetarian option. The menu states 'please let us know when ordering that you require a vegan meal', so make sure you specify to avoid any confusion.
We could not resist desserts, would be rude not to, with three great sounding choices, so I went for the cherry bakewell and hubby had chocolate and coconut torte. The desserts were scrumptious and prove that places offering fruit salad and sorbet should be ashamed and need to follow Greene King's example.
Our experience was excellent overall, the vegan options are substantial, satisfying and tasty and you cannot complain at the price either, so value for money too.
