After reading the reviews on here we decided to give this place a go. It was the only place that advertised a vegan option on their menu that was open in the ‘off’ season. It was a nightmare.
Read moreThe ‘vegan’ option came with shrimp, which when we complained was removed, leaving just a rocket covered bun. Aside from a cobbled together mix of starters and chips, there was nothing else on the menu that we could have.
Avoid.

Very disappointing following the reviews! - Edit
After seeing great reviews on here, and the seitan burger on the menu I was excited to try this place. I ordered the seitan burger without cheese, which the waiter repeated back to me along with the word ‘vegan’. The burger arrived with cheese on it and I explained I needed no cheese, they took it away and brought it back unchanged so I articulated again that I needed no cheese, this time it came back with the cheese scraped off but with plenty still melted on the burger. The waiter was clearly understanding that I needed a new burger but was unwilling to do this, and passed the request on to someone else. The burger was returned to me one more time before they finally made another one. In the end, the burger wasn’t even seitan but just a vegetable burger!

We were really looking forward to here but menu had changed from Facebook menu, myself and wife got the two vegetarian burgers available.
Read moreWaited over an hour for a Seitan burger which wasn't Seitan, a veggie burger which could've been shop bought and had to constantly remind staff about the beer that I'd ordered.
Disappointing, hope you have more luck if you try but we didn't go back.
Pros: Nice bar. Nice staff. Next door to We Love Puro.

Lovely place and staff, but they apparently changed their menu so the 2 sandwiches were not easily veganizable (remove turkey, bacon, eggs and mayo, that would have left me with bread and salad and I didn't want to be a pain in the a). So I took a salad without the chicken, paid the full price for a bowl of iceberg, tomatoes, canned corn and an avocado sauce that definitely contained mayo although I said I'm vegan. Too bad. Will go back to try the burgers though :)

We ordered the seitan burger, cous cous balls and the 'stick' chips. The food was all great especially the chips were so moreish, unlike any chips we've had before. Would be great as a beer snack.
Very friendly staff and beer on tap made for a fantastic lunch that didn't consist of pizza and pasta..!

Seitan burger was lovely! Ordered without cheese and assured this would be completely vegan. Could have used a tad more salad or mushroom filling but it was still nice and a welcome break from Pizza Marinara everywhere lol

We had such a lovely lunch here, don't be put off by the front of the restaurant, it's not an English pub! It seems family run and I think the mother served us. They were so friendly and lovely. We had the seitan burger with pumpkin and mushrooms, it was really nice! One of my favourite meals of the trip.

Was very pleased to find a vegan seitan burger, it was a little expensive (€14 plus fries €5 to share plus €5 draft beer) would have been perfect with some vegan cheese which they didn’t have but it was still nice :)

This place is just great. A lot of vegan options, the burgers we got were absolutely delicious. The service is great too, the waitress really made sure we know what's not vegan in the table (we were 2 vegans and 2 non-vegans). The location is also very good, right next to bars and other shops. All in all- great place, definitely coming back tomorrow!

I would have given this place 3 stars for the lack of vegan options however the chickpea burger was absolutely divine! I ate here and then popped to the dessert place next door to have vegan gelato for pudding. Worth a visit!

The Janis veggie burger was really good. The fried leeks gave a good flavor too. Would get this one again. We sat by the kitchen and saw a ton of food come out, everything looked good.
