Superb freshly cooked food

They deserve the best compliments for serving freshly cooked food. Not very spicy. Vegan options available. They are not heating up frozen food. Everything seems fresh and that is why some time is needed for serving the food after it is ordered. Perfect taste. We had our meal here: Garlic Paratha, Paneer masala, rice, papad, yellow dal, mango lassi.

Pros: Real Indian food in taste, Freshly cooked food, Lot of options

Best Indian Food in Salt Lake City

I've been to most of the Indian restaurants in Salt Lake County and Star of India definitely has the best food. At other restaurants they have a tendency to make the food too heavy and also not to prepare the spiciness in accordance with request. At Star of India they use fresh ingredients and when you ask for hot it's hot and when you ask for mild it's mild. The lunch buffet has hot sauce on the side so that you can season to taste. There are many extremely tasty and satisfying vegan options. With curry dishes you obviously are getting coconut milk but many non-saturated fat vegan items are available as well. The family who owns and operates the restaurant is very friendly and very interested that you get the best food experience you can get. The atmosphere is generally quiet and kids are welcomed. The pricing is modest and basmati rice is included free with most entree items.

Pros: Excellent food quality with many vegan options, Friendly and good service, Generally quiet

Cons: Good freeway access but sketchy neigborhood, Restrooms outside restaurant in the Ramada Inn
