I had the yellow dal and an aloo dish. It was okay the dal was kinda watery. They have a brunch buffet but they only had one vegan option. The naan was really good and they have a vegan mango lassi.

Read moreAs a gentle cultural fyi 'soupy' dal is common in many parts of India (especially the South), though thicker North Indian dals like Dal Makhani and Dal Tadka are most commonly served to American diners. It's not for everyone, but that dal might have been made the way it's supposed to be!

Great vegan options - Edit
If you’re out on Geary, check this place out. It’s colorful and cute with lots of Ganesha murtis. The food is good and spicy. They have lots of vegan appetizers and 10 main dishes. It seems to be a favorite for East Indians. The owner is friendly. I highly recommend.
