Good vegan junk food options, plus a pawtio

I love to hang out on the pawtio and see all the dogs. Menu changes a lot, but as of May 2024 my fave is the vegan hot chic sandwich.

Pros: Vegan hot chic sandwich, Buffalo cauliflower , Dogs on the pawtio

Decent food

We went for brunch and the food was okay. Service took a long time but they were very busy. The Veganning was pretty dry and the vegan Reuben needed more flavor. I wouldn’t mind going back again, but I won’t be seeking it out for brunch.

Huge portions!

3.5/5

Their food is ok, dog friendly patio and menus are great though! We usually go for our dog's birthday.

The beet sandwich I wouldn't get again, nothing super special. Apps are great! Mocktails at our last visit were not good.

Pros: Ok vegan options , Costs are OK, Dog friendly patio

Cons: Not super healthy , So-so meals

Could have better vegan options during brunch

Vegan options are notable but leave something to be desired..

I have gone to Stanley's quite a few times and I adore their phuket bowl with Tofu. I've tried to eat their other options especially since the Phuket isn't available during brunch. I don't love their vegan reuben or the veganning. I tried the veganning a second time and asked for it on an english muffin rather than the biscuit since it was too thick for my liking.

I wish I could say I love their options more, but it's really great to see a place like this give options.

Pros: Options, Friendly Staff, Dog Friendly

Third edit...

This is my third time editing my review, because this place went from no options in 2017, to great options in 2018, to almost no options again. They got rid of all Herbivorous Butcher products and jackfruit based items. Mushroom tacos, curry bowl, and the vegan Reuben are basically the only options now if you count out the beyond burger (which I hate and refuse to order anywhere). I will say that the phoebe is really really good, and I love and crave it, but nothing else on the menu is worth ordering. It’s a bummer, because this place is two blocks from my house and I used to come here weekly. Now we just drive to the Howe, which is basically the same restaurant, but with a way bigger and better menu.

Pros: great patio with lots of doggies, good atmosphere

Cons: bad bad ketchup

Northeast charm

We had to skip the "vegan option" pretzel appetizer as it was discovered to have butter. Good catch by the server. The menu was clearly labeled, and what we ordered was good...vegan Reuben called the Phoebe, and an Impossible California burger.

New - Impossible Burger

They updated their menu again and switched from the Beyond Burger to the Impossible as the vegan option. All my omni friends love it, but one of my vegan friends said it was too 'meaty.' The fried pickles are delicious, and the local Herbivorous Butcher products also expand the vegan options here. Great place.

Great place if you're eating with non-vegan friends

I thought this was a great place to go if you are looking to watch a sports game with non-vegan friends or have a pub style vibe. They don't have too many vegan options but the ones they do have are pretty dang good - impossible burger (always a win) and the HB Korean BBQ.

Pros: Fun atmosphere, Reasonable prices

Cons: Only a couple choices for vegans

Bathroom for 2 Days

I wanted to like Stanley's, I have a dog (vegetarian) that likes to join me and they have a great little dog area. In theory everyone can eat there - vegans and non-vegans alike, and I like beer. I have been vegan for a long time and about 4 hours after eating vegan labeled food I will know if it has been prepared with consideration. At Stanley's it was not. I ordered the Korean BBQ sandwich, it was expensive, but Herbivorous Butcher products are. The contents of my sandwich were obviously prepared on the same surface as meat ingredients, which my stomach notices and sends me to the bathroom unpleasantly for 2 days. I sat at the bar and overheard waitstaff talking with barstaff about not having enough of a specific cheese for 2 sandwiches and their solution was to cut the one piece in half because the customers will never notice they've been shorted. After over-hearing that conversation I won't suggest to my non-vegan friends it's a place they should go.

Pros: Dog friendly, Good beer

Cons: Expensive, Lacking consideration of customers

Fun place with great ideas and cool vegan options.

4 or 5 vegan entre options, including an impossible burger, jackfruit, and Herbevoriois Butcher Korean ribs. Can be loud inside when busy. The dog friendly patio was very nice and comfortable and also kid friendly. The staff is fast and happy, a reflection of good management. Would be 5 stars if it was 100% vegan or vegetarian.

Pros: Great place for an impossible burger.

Cons: Also serves meat.

Bomb food, dogs and good beer list

At least six vegan options based on the Impossible Burger, Jackfruit, and Herbiverous Butcher Korean BBQ. We had the Impossible burger and give it an A as well as the Korean BBQ sandwich and give it an A. (I’m vegan and my BF is Omni). They are also dog friendly with a whole menu for dogs and yoga mats for dogs to lay on. To top it off the beer list is great. We didn’t delve into the cocktail menu but it is extensive. Downside: not the cheapest. We spent over $50 for two meals and three beers.

Pros: Vegan options are wonderful, You can come here with non-veg friends, Dogs!

Cons: Expensive

Deserves 5 Stars

My new favorite place in Minneapolis! My boyfriend and I took our dogs here for dinner. They had yoga mats available for your dog to lay on, the wait staff brings them a bowl of water, they have their own healthy doggy menu! PLUS gluten free, vegetarian, and vegan options that aren't just salads!!! I had the vegan Korean BBQ tacos (locally sourced from the Herbivorous Butcher)- amazing! My non-vegan had the brisket and said it was great. We had a few martinis that were awesome. Everyone we encountered was helpful and friendly. Fun part of town too. Highly recommend!!

Pros: Dog-Friendly Patio w/doggy menu, Gluten-free options, Vegan meat options
