Not as many vegan options as advertised - Edit
We chose to eat here as online they seemed to have a lot of vegan options. When we arrived the actual menu had very limited vegan meal options (chilli and vegan roast), but several vegan labelled sides. They did have several vegan options on the kids menu (more than main menu!) which was nice to see. Kids meal was advertised as 5 "chicken" pieces but when the meal arrived there were only 2. We queried this with the server and after a bit of back and forth they did bring us the right amount.

Pros: Wide range of children's vegan options

Pleasently surprised - Edit
On a recent visit to my home town I was struggling to find somewhere where I could eat and my insanely fussy picky eating UK family would eat (yes the vegan wasn't the problem) and we settled on the stag and hounds as I knew they had at least one good vegan dish from an earlier visit. I was really impressed that when i asked about veganising a veggie dish they pointed me to the vegan menu which included a bunch of mains, sides and even 3 desserts.
Read moreThe food was actually pretty good for what I now know is a pub chain and I wouldn't hesitate to go back in fact I will be back later this week as I fancied another one of their dishes.
I know it's not gormet fair or a fully vegan place but it's a blessing in an otherwise culinary desert and it's 2 for 1 on mains..... and they have Thatcher's cider on tap and many of Thatchers ciders are also vegan.
Pros: Lots of options, Cheap if you are buying 2 meals (2 for 1), Cider
Cons: Not a fully vegan establishment, Same deep friers used for vegan and non vegan food, Out of the way so you can't drink much cider
