Read moreThe food is incredible. This is made from scratch at its best. Comforting, yet flavorful and downright delicious food. I brought my 80-year-old aunt with me one day, and before she left, she was asking if Sri Mantra offered meal prep delivery service; she enjoyed it that much. Meanwhile, my well-developed palate, where I've enjoyed many cuisines from around the country and the world, was also *supremely* happy with the flavors of every single dish.
This comes from their clear love and attention to creating amazing food and the ingredients. They directly import spices from their family in Srilanka. This means you are getting the very highest quality ingredients that you'll ever experience, period. The added bonus is that they sell those spices as well. The turmeric is by far the best I've ever had, and my goodness, the cinnamon. Oh my goodness, it's amazingly delicious!!! I use the sticks and the powdered cinnamon all the time. I break off little bits to add to my oatmeal or cereal, and the powdered goes into my baked items.
The clothing and other handmade items from their family in Srilanka are also beautiful.
The Logan Street Market has plenty of seating options, and you can pick up any number of beverages from the other vendors, including a full bar with locally brewed beer.
The pictures are of the various curries and the perfectly made crunch wrap.
Last, and super important. They are great people who you'd be supporting. Give Sri Mantra a try.

Fully vegan and delicious flavors! - Edit
Located inside Logan St Market, this is a wonderful spot for vegan food with a more healthful focus, when traveling Chicago to Florida and back or visiting the Louisville area. Nothing deep fried, just flavorful and filling fiber-filled dishes. The owners are lovely people, the food is delicious and fairly priced for the quantity and quality. They also sell a small variety of clothing, bags and high quality fragrant spices and tea from Sri Lanka. We had a curry dish and the crunch wrap. I was also able to purchase a pouch of black ginger tea, curry powder and Ceylon cinnamon. We enjoyed our food and we will return next time we are in town.
