“Vegan” dish came with egg, inattentive staff

A pretty terrible experience from start to finish. Unfriendly staff that ignored me when I walked in, despite me greeting them. Then I had to chase them down to order and they spoke little/no English. I was brought the wrong drink and had to change. Then my meal, which was clearly labelled VEGAN in the menu, came with a hard boiled egg. Also the dish was missing a couple of garnishes that were present in the menu photo. If I’d have known what I’d be getting, I’d have ordered something different. Honestly you’d be better off going to any nearby restaurant that serves meat and veganising something from the menu as it would be half the price and twice as good.

Pros: The rice was flavoursome

Cons: Inattentive staff, A dish labelled ‘VEGAN’ came with egg, Food not as pictured on menu

Nice food

Food was tasty, lots of vegan options and a nice place. However, a bit more expensive than you can get elsewhere in the city

A fair but not exciting place

I was a bit disappointed by this place having in mind the previous positive reviews. The menu has many vegan options clearly indicated but was not particularly thrilling. Prices are a bit high and the food was just ok. I had the tofu soup (not bad but not really tasty) and the spinach roti (small for the price). The place is pleasant but there is better vegan food in the area.

Pros: many vegan options that are clearly labeled, pleasant place

Cons: A bit pricey, small portions, not 100% vegan

great vego cafe with vegan options

I had lunch at Sri Chiang Yeun House with an Thai omni friend ... easy to find cafe with friendly staff and super fast wifi ... there is an extensive menu with a great selection of vegan choices ... we shared a delicious mushroom salad and spicy green curry with steamed rice ... my Thai friend really like the food and despite being on a busy road the cafe was quite, cool and clean ... moderate pricing given the quality and quantity of the food

Pros: lots of vegan options

Gourmet meal at a very reasonable price

Sri Chiang Yuen Vegetarian is a restaurant located in a vegetarian-friendly hotel. They weren't busy at 6PM, so I didn't have super high expectations. Plenty of seating, outdoor and indoor. What a surprise! I ordered the yellow curry tofu over rice. Wow. This was gourmet quality, and a portion big enough that I couldn't eat it all. Beautiful presentation. My dish was 120 baht ($4 US). Juices are in the 50 - 70 baht range, but I just had a bottle of water. The menu is attractive, with varied dishes.

Pros: gourmet quality, reasonable prices, large portions
