Got the meat and cheese dish, bad service

The restaurant was being renovated when we were there so we were seated in the Bär bar but the menu was still from the restaurant. But it might change something with the service and my review might not be too representative.

The menu had only two vegan main dishes when we were there. “Fresh and creamy blueberry risotto” and “Fresh Strozzapreti”. We ordered both by saying the dish name and pointing to it in the menu. The waiter asked if we want the risotto with hummer (or something like that) and we said no, both dishes vegan.
We then got bread and most likely cowmilk butter for free. We wanted to ask the waiter if that’s cowmilk butter but we could not get his attention for at least 5 minutes so we just ate the bread without butter.

We then got served our main dishes and there was cheese on top of my strozzapreti, so I’ve asked if this is vegan. One waiter said he will ask in the kitchen, the other said something like “obviously it’s real cheese with the meat”. I haven't even seen the meat yet, luckily there was cheese. There’s a meat version of both dishes (now the question about the hummer also made sense), “Blueberry risotto with Gambero Rosso carpacio” and “Fresh Strozzapreti with beef Ragù alla Uri and Sbrinz cheese”. While the waiter asked for the risotto he just assumed I automatically want the meat version, even though I pointed to it on the menu and said vegan (even though it’s already stupid, that there are two dishes with the same name, it’s just “Fresh strozzapeti” the rest is just an additional description in the menu). So I had to wait another 10min for my vegan strozzapeti with just a plain tomate sauce. No excuse, nothing.
The food was quite boring. Not bad but also not good and really expensive for the portion. Should have cooked something myself, would have been much better. The old pictures list actually fun vegan dishes but in spring 2026 I would not go there, not worth it.
