Nice Addition - Edit
The Spud and Lettuce is a nice addition to the Cobalt Business Park and offers good selection of vegetarian and vegan jacket potato options including classic bean, spinach chick pea and sweet potato curry and cottage cheese to name a few, all for a reasonable pricing of £3.70. You can also get a side salad. Other options available are breakfast options, bagels and smoothie and fruit drinks a plenty. Anyone working in the area will find this a perfect eating place as there is seating inside or outside or a takeaway option is available too. It is located quite a way out from Newcastle City centre and unless you are at the nearby Silverlink shopping park or cinema, it's not probably worth venturing too.
Pros: Good Vegi/Vegan Choice, Cheap
Cons: Location

Periodic Transition - Edit
Based on Cobalt Business park a few miles out of Newcastle city centre. Maybe only chemists will get the pun in the title. This fresh, minimalist and modern place is absolutely bustling at lunchtimes with white collar workers from the various employers in what is one of, if not the largest business park in the UK. The catchment area is perfect. I've added this listing because it is very veg friendly with fair vegan choice. I love baked potatoes and the baked potatoes here are excellent. £3.70 will get you a fully packed sweet potato, chick pea and spinach curry potato with side salad. The breakfast menu is totally vegetarian including items such as toast, porridge and bagels. They also specialise in power salads, power smoothies and fruit shakes. Next time I visit I will enquire about soya milk, and encourage them to offer it as an alternative. The only meat on the menu is chicken and tuna unfortunately but overall the green theme is evident. Not really worth a go if you don't work in the area but it's an option if you are visiting the Silverlink retail park nearby. There is also plenty of nice seating inside as well as out in the summer months.
Pros: modern premises, fresh food, decent prices
Cons: some meat is served
