This! - Edit
There's no better feeling that finding yourself at an all-vegan diner that serves breakfast all day, anddd has gluten free options.
Read moreThey have everything you could be in the mood for. We had the gluten free blueberry pancakes and the nacho supremo. Both were great. The nacho supremo was HUGE. I actually wished I had ordered the junior size because I couldn't eat half of it and had to take it home where it got soggy. 😕
The atmosphere is very open and clean, and they also have a ton of desserts. I would definitely go back if I'm ever in the area again!

Delicious food, very slow service - Edit
Loved that everything was vegan. It's always nice to take the family someplace where they can eat everything. We got nachos that were to die for. The cheese sauce and other sauces made everyone just dive in. The veggies were cooked to perfection and the milkshake was amazing.
Read moreOnly con was the slow service. We were there for almost an hour and a half. We got there when it was busy, so we expected to wait a bit for food, but our server was very slow to bring anything. By midway though our meal, the restaurant emptied out, so it shouldn't have taken as long as it did.
The food was great and we would definitely try again in hopes thst we just had a one off experience.

Down right delish! - Edit
This little diner is divine! Actually it’s not little at all! The spacious interior is well lit and has colorful fruit paintings on the windows. The outdoor patio is also quite big, they live up to Texas standards I guess lol. Also, I very much enjoyed watching the Denton train go by from the patio. The staff was so friendly and let us know right when we arrived that the diner was fully vegan, which I appreciated. Our waitress even noted that many non vegans are loyal customers because they love the food so much. And I can see why, the food was truly
Read moreAmazing! Luckily, we came on their first day of serving the elote in a cup. Creamy popable corn kernel masterpiece! We told them to make sure that goes on their full time menu. I then got the tofu club which was great and the to die for pasta salad! That pasta salad was so fresh and light, but FULL of pesto like flavor. A must get because they sell out often. My partner got the fajita quesadilla which was also packed full of flavor and served hot. We didn’t have room for dessert, but will be going back soon.
Pros: All vegan , All amazing , Such great staff

Cute Diner, Delicious Eats! - Edit
The menu is huge—so many exciting options. Everything we ordered was great. My husband thinks that their cashew quinoa patty is a real game-changer—he absolutely loved it. I think the macaroni was the “cheesiest” I’ve experienced since we’ve been vegan.

Disturbing - Edit
The Denton location of Spiral used to be our weekly go-to spot for meals. We were their biggest supporter and consistently shared with vegans and non-vegans, alike, about their food. Then a disturbing incident occurred. I placed a special occasion cake order a month in advance. On the day it was supposed to be ready for pick-up I was told they had mistakenly given it to another customer. We were left to drive all over DFW in search of another cake before the next day's event. About an hour later, I received a call from Spiral stating they had "tracked down the customer" and she was willing to bring it back, from her home, to give to me. The cake was at her home... and they wanted me to take it. The health and safety issues aside, how absurd is that? When I shared the incident in a vegan community group, several of the employees of Spiral Diner actually attacked me for sharing my very real experience, one even told me to make my own cake, not realizing I was undergoing cancer treatment at the time and could not fathom the energy, nor should I have since I paid a month in advance for the service of baking a cake. Instead of owning up to it and apologizing, they dismissed me entirely. It's a terrible business model and not how a loyal customer should EVER be treated. I rarely leave a negative review, as evident by my many restaurant reviews across the US & Europe on here, about a vegan restaurant but felt compelled to warn other customers. A vegan diner or not, they should absolutely be held to the same standards as a nonvegan restaurant and treating customers with respect should always be universal.

Great Food - Edit
Fresh and huge variety to choose from. Nachos were a 5 out of 5. Definitely recommend trying those. We ordered the smaller version for an appetizer and it was still a LOT. Alejandra was our waitress and she was the Bomb.com!!

70s diner v style - Edit
If you have been to the first Spirals in Dallas...this one is much nicer. Fresh and clean. Great service. Typical diner food. Nachos burgers milk shakes. The mac N chez is terrific never knew it was wasnt the iconic norm. Cookies and desserts are delicious. Ice cream chocolate or vanilla just like the ole days of the past. Quinoa burger is very tasty as well.

My husband and I had an incredible experience at Spiral Diner. We were able to get patio seating and felt safe the entire time. The food is unbelievably good and gives a real southern comfort food experience all while being vegan!! The service was quick and the employees are kind. All in all a 10/10

Excellent food, service, and vibe! - Edit
I have been coming here occasionally for a couple of years and this is my favorite restaurant! I am always impressed with the food, service, and vibe in the diner. On my most recent visit, we made a reservation online because of COVID-19 restrictions and did not experience any difficulties while reserving our table. They even held our table for us after we called them and said that we were going to be a little late. The vibe inside the diner is so cool with a fresh take on classic diner decorations. Our server was very nice and checked on us multiple times to make sure we were doing okay. I definitely recommend Spiral to anyone in the Denton area or if you are traveling through Denton!

New Favorite Restaurant - Edit
I can’t say enough good things about this place. As someone who’s making the transition to being vegan and has an omnivore partner, this place is amazing. Everything I’ve eaten here is delicious. We basically always take home leftovers. The prices are very fair. And the staff is so nice!!

Low quality/overpriced - Edit
I have been very unimpressed by their food. I have been there multiple times and tried a verity of different things. This is a great place to go if you are not vegan and looking to try some vegan comfort food or you are just starting out as a vegan and don’t have much to compare it to. However, as far as vegan food goes spiral dinner makes some of the lowest quality vegan food that I have ever had and it is some of the most expensive as well. This place has been open since 2002 and they haven’t improved their recipes or quality of ingredients one bit. Everything on the menu is still soy based which in 2002 was the new big thing but now soy is known to be unhealthy and terrible for the environment. Vegan food has come a long was since soy first came out and there are many other protein options that are higher quality and taste even better. I always leave feeling unimpressed but somehow I convince myself to go back and try something else which ends up being just as tasteless and overpriced. As far as the DFW area goes any other vegan options are better than spiral dinner. I really hope Spiral dinner can get with the times and improve their quality of food one day but until then I will not be wasting any more of my money there. Juice junkies, hippie cafe, mad greens, goji cafe, loving hut, and juice lab have very exciting vegan option that are very tasty and well worth the price. I recommend going to one of these restaurants if you are looking for high quality good tasting vegan food at a reasonable price.

Always an excellent choice if you’re in the area. A HUGE selection of vegan comfort foods. This time I had a VLT (lots of faux bacon, ask for a side of pickle slices) and 1 scoop of pecan cobbler ice cream.

Fun Environment - Edit
The prices are too high for anyone on a budget. Let's say you order a potato grilled cheese which is very tasty. All you get is a small sandwich and a side. If you order fruit as your side, you get 1/4-1/2 of an apple or an orange cut into slices. That's not much for $12.00, in my opinion. I have eaten here many times. A few items that I have tried are very tasty, but the last time I went, I ordered a bar-b-cue wrap that did not have a bar-b-cue flavor and burned the inside of my mouth. You can buy vegan bar-b-cue sauce that tastes good in almost any grocery store, so I don't understand why they would make something taste so bad and call it "bar-b-cue." On the plus side the staff is friendly, and they even have a small store. It is nice to have a whole menu of vegan food to choose from. It has a "Happy Days" (TV show) vibe. They also offer vegan beer. This is a chain, also in Dallas and Ft. Worth.
