Very keen to accommodate all diets - Edit
Nothing obvious on the menu but when we asked, the server said they tried to accommodate all diets. Instead of telling us what the options were, he asked us what we would like, which was very refreshing. He made us mushrooms on sourdough with a delicious creamy garlic sauce made from oat cream.
Read moreIt also turns out that one of their cake suppliers is the Vegan Bay Baker, so many of the cakes were vegan so we bought some to take away for later.

Great Cafe for Lunch - Edit
Had two soups; sweet potato/carrot, and veg broth, both of which were vegan and delicious. Also much more available on menu including jackets and toasties. They also sell Vegan Bay Bakery cakes and pastries. We took away a couple of empire cakes and custard creams. Based in old train station waiting room and had a great comfortable and welcoming atmosphere. Staff were really friendly too. A must visit if in the area. Only loses 1 star due to the automatic system maxing at 4 if not fully vegan.

Staff are very friendly. Proprietor told how he always tries to use local produce. Great selection of generously sized cakes from local vegan bakery. Excellent coffee and savoury options like soup, salads, toasties. Located in old railway station so interesting architecture. Aboyne is also a great place to visit on the Royal Deeside.

I came here when cycling in the area, so very apt! I had a breakfast bowl of vegan oatmeal with lots of delicious toppings.😄Staff is friendly and the place has a unique ambiance.
