Non-veg

Serves meat, vegan options available. Sri Lankan Fusion Food, sort of like Indian food; think rice and curry, meets Indy-Bahasa noodles and soups. Uses fresh ingredients. Please note: Being a Buddhist country, the majority of Sri Lankan food is vegetarian, so when you order vegetarian food from a Sri Lankan, they will assume you mean vegan with no eggs. Open Mon 11:00am-9:00pm, Tue-Thu 11:00am-9:30pm, Fri-Sat 11:00am-10:00pm, Sun 11:00am-9:00pm.

Amazing - go now

I would give 5 stars if I could. The food is absolutely delicious and unique! Think Indian food meets Chinese food. The manager came to our table when he overheard us mention to the waiter we were vegan. He suggested what to order and we went with it. I’m SO glad we did. It was amazing and was so nice to be sure everything would be vegan. He was so friendly and helpful.

There’s dozens of vegan options and they even have a buffet on the weekends with loads of vegan options.

Beautifully different taste

Had the Lumprais and loved it, four different curries with flavoured rice served in a banana leaf wrapped in aluminum foil. The curries had a different which was wonderful to experience. Quite filling as well. There were quite a few other vegan options as well. The server was very friendly and willing to answer all questions asked with a smile.

Veg Friendly….in DALLAS???

OMG what a find.

SpicyZest was our first stop when we got to Dallas. We were meeting family for birthday celebrations and invited my die hard Dallas meat eating son to have dinner with my wife and me.

He happens to like Indian food, so since SpicyZest was close to our hotel, we tried it out. It turned out to be one of the best restaurants we have ever been to. Even my meat eating son loved the Roti and the Vegetarian Samosas and mentioned to the owner that he would be back again.

Food was amazing, full bar and friendly staff. Reasonably priced (our bar bill was over half of the tab) we will go back next time we are in Dallas.

Pros: Uniquely different, Friendly attentive staff, Food options for all tastes

Cons: New staff just learning the menu

My new comfort food

I've been here twice now and both times I left feeling like it was the best meal of my life. I can't wait to go back and also to try their NRH location.

You've got to try this place!

I loved my experience here, and I didn't have to explain vegan. I had Lentil curry with rice, beets, eggplant, and more which was all super flavorful and displayed beautifully on banana leaf. And I was pleasantly surprised by their cuisine being coconut based rather than with butter, etc. like Indian food. It's also acceptable to eat with your hands, so that was fun! ;P They were so nice and helpful, and how they described Sri Lanka seriously made me want to travel there. Don't miss out on their Saturday (I believe) buffet which has so many vegan options you'll want to go again and again! P.S. We had no trouble finding it. (The app won't allow 5-stars unless it's strictly veg ... currently on Google they have about 5-stars from about 400 reviews!)

Located!

*****Amended Review******
I found it! I allowed some extra time before work, while there was less traffic.

Ordered curry vegetarian rice plate. The presentation was beautiful and the food was delicious.

Glad I was able to locate this time!

Where are you located exactly?

I tried to come there on a 30 minute lunch, during rush hour traffic and could not locate the restaurant and had to turn around and go back to work.

Pros: Menu sounds great!

Cons: Not easy to find if you have limited time to find.
