Really tasty, friendly staff and good price. - Edit
The meals we had were great (vegan rogan josh, laziza, chapatis and rice) and the staff talked us through what was vegan. It would have been better if it was marked on the menu. But the food was very tasty and they were good sized portions. Would definitely go back if I was here again.

Perfectly Servicable - Edit
Although some of the staff is a little confused, the manager and owner know what is vegan and what isn't. The manager even caught an error and remade some of our dishes.
Read moreMany of the curries, the tandoori roti, and several other dishes are vegan by default. Just clearly state vegan and you'll be fine.
Ah, and the Rogan Josh is delicious.

The menu is almost entirely meat so it's hard to know where to start in veganising something!
Read moreEventually I realised that all the vegetarian dishes are under 'sides'. I ordered the Saag Aloo which the server said was naturally vegan, it was really delicious.
I was told none of the naan were vegan but our server was very unfriendly and not forthcoming on whether any could be made vegan so I didn't push it. (Shame because every other staff member was very friendly)
My partner has the pad Thai minus egg from the Thai section of the menu. My friends had the massaman curry which was delicious but very hot when they ordered mild.

Great Indian food in Oban - Edit
The food here is delicious. It’s rather unassuming from the street level, but once you go up the stairs, the dining room is lovely with views out to the water. Service is very good and they are accommodating for vegans.

Someone on trip advisor said that they can make anything vegan! I didn’t quite get that idea from them today, but I made sure the vegetable dish I wanted would be made vegan and the server was very accommodating. I asked for a vegetable dish to have chickpeas added which was really tasty (veg laziza) if you like chilli! Also the tandoori naan and veg paratha were vegan and delicious! My partner had veg Biryani and was also really good, with really nice curry sauce.
