Some dishes use dairy so make sure to ask. Be specific about every dish because on my 3rd visit i stated that i was vegan and what i could and could not eat. I checked that my appetiser was ok for vegan and because I'd had the veg jalfrezi before I ordered it again but this time I didn't specify vegan and it came out with paneer in it. They initially took it out to the kitchen removed the paneer and brought it back. But there were still crumbs of paneer and I can't have dairy for medical reasons so they were apologetic and cooked me a new one without paneer.
Veg jalfrezi was delicious, Chana Masala and garlic naan also. Didn't think much of the onion pakora, they were like onion rings but dipped in chickpea batter, they were ok but nothing special. I ate there 2 days in a row because it was very good but also because it's the nearest vegetarian place to my hotel. I'll probably return there a few more times before I leave bk.
Walked to this place last night however the happy cow location was incorrect (I’ve sent an update so it should be correct soon).
The decor is mediocre however don’t let that put you off, the food is probably the best I’ve ever eaten! The curries were so flavourful and the price was great. We paid 400baht for 2 naans, 1 roti, 1 rice, 2 curries, 2 soft drinks and a bottle of water.
A Indian vegetarian cuisine restaurant. One of the best Indian food I had in Bangkok. Good food at good price. A meal for 2 guys (2 curry, 2 nan, 2 drinks and 1 plate of rice), just cost me around 500 baht. It's in a small lane next to Ma hotel in Bang rak, Bangkok.
