Serves meat, vegan options available. Indian/Nepalese restaurant. Dishes are not listed as vegan, but quite a lot of the veggie dishes are vegan by default. Open Mon-Sun 17:00-22:30.
Waiter was very keen to help. I eat a lot of Indian food so already had an expectation of what was likely to be, or could be made, vegan. I asked for the vegetable dupiaza, boiled rice, tarka daal, saag aloo, and a chapati. All was incredibly delicious - I must say. One of the yummiest curries I've had. Only slight bother was when the chutney was delivered the poppadoms and there was no acknowledgement of (what I assume) was a yoghurt based dip. I didn't eat it but I'm sure I could have asked. Would have been lovely for the initiative to have been taken though as I had already stated my dietary preferences.
Nothing labelled as vegan on the menu, but the waiter was happy to explain which dishes were suitable. Between the two of us, we had a vegetable biryani with curry sauce, a vegetable pathia (sweet and a little sour) with lime and chickpea fried rice, saag aloo, chana masala and poppadoms. It was all pretty tasty!
