Fantastic menu. - Edit
Is not often you get such a wide range of options when eating out and vegan. Lovely restaurant, great staff and the food was excellent.

Yummy vegan recipes - Edit
Pretty good variety of recipes to choose from.
Ventilation should be improved, very steamy inside, had to wash all clothes afterwards to get food smells out of them
Pros: variety of recipes
Cons: steamy place, sticky table

Best Vegan Resturant I've Ever Been To! ❤️ - Edit
I wrote this review on my Vegan app and thought I would share it on here also...
Living in a world where we are a smaller minority can be difficult sometimes.
I mean, how many times have you only been able to order some form of veg and potato when eating out with friends We are restricted at times when dining out, but doing a bit of research really can find you some hidden gems.
I recently took a trip to Ireland... home of the potato 凜 so I knew I'd be looked after on the food front. I looked on trip advisor and other sites and found this all vegan restaurant at called
⭐️⭐️⭐️"Sova - Vegan Butcher"⭐️⭐️⭐️
it has been the best place I've ever eaten. No exaggeration! Just being able to walk into a restaurant look at a menu and think I have no restrictions.
As if the food wasn't incredible and creative enough the staff where unbelievable. All vegan and truly was interested in how you found the food. They was also asking if we where vegan and how we find the lifestyle. It was such a pleasant atmosphere to be inn being surrounded by so many like minded people.
There was meals involving seitan steaks, king skallops, spicy mushroom gyoza, cashew cheesecake even down to blakpudding crisp! You can purchase individually priced meals or have the choice of 3 courses for €24.
If anyone has visited Ireland before it is a very expensive city with most breakfasts alone costing around €12-15 so this was super cheap too!
To top everything off the restaurant also allowed corkage fee for €4 so we purchased a bottle of prosecco for €8 from the local off licence. We had previously left a bar before coming to Sova where I was charged €8.50 for a glass!
It really is a beautiful and minimal restaurant but with a massive heart and such talent for creativity with vegan food. I really hope they open more restaurants, hopefully one in my home town.
So if your ever taking a trip to Ireland this place is not to be missed. Even give them a follow on Instagram and check out more images of their food.
Big Love for Sova Vegan Butcher
I've never felt so at home when dining out
❤️
Pros: All of the Pros!!! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

The best restaurant in Dublin - Edit
I would be a regular at this restaurant if I lived in Dublin, but at least I managed to eat there three times during my four day visit to Dublin :) Delicious food, interesting dishes, friendly staff and a nice atmosphere. I brought my non-vegan friends and they loved it too. I highly recommend the "turkey" roulades!
Pros: Awesome food, Friendly staff, Interesting menu

Awesome! - Edit
Well worth a visit, one of the best vegan restaurants I have been to. For 25 euros one could get a three course meal and it is worth your money! The kind of food you don't make at home because it is too much work, the plating was also very attractive! Nothing negative to report about the place, also my non veggie boyfriend was completely mind blown by the food and was insisting of going there again some time soon. Well deserved 5 stars.

Simple food made amazing - Edit
This place rocks! We tried the seitan doner kebab and the pull (not pork) pork bap. There were lots of elements to both dishes (salad, pickles, sauces...) and every single bite was different and delicious. The portions were quite large for a very decent price and the staff was super friendly. We'll be back!
Pros: Amazing food, Affordable, Big portions

Classy and Delicious - Edit
This is a really nice little restaurant. The first thing you notice is how busy it is, which is a great sign. We got a three course meal for two and espressos for less than 60 euro. Great value for what was essentially vegan fine dining. They do not serve alcohol here, but offer corkage for €4. The service was fast and friendly, and most importantly the food was delicious. Book in advance to avoid disappointment.

Wow, delicious dinner - book ahead! - Edit
First time visit and we were delighted! Our starters and mains were delicious and so well presented. The chocolate dessert was awesome as well. We BYOB, as did most everyone around us, and were not charged corkage. Be sure to book ahead. Our first attempt was to call at 2pm Wednesday for a table that night but SVB was totally booked, so we opted for Friday night. We will be back!

Worth the visit - Edit
really nice set up restaurant and I was delighted to hear they managed to get a proper lease so will be here permanently.
some great posters, lovely people who didn't complain when I turned up five minutes before closing.
have a vegan donor which came with tow aide sales so I felt a wee bit heathy. the seitan was good and the cream and sice was food offering a great balance of heat and sweet, the sooner had plenty of salad but was let down a little.by the flat bread which was a bit tough.
overall a must of you are in Dublin.
Pros: fantastic people, vegan, great layout

Poorly sign posted; Presentation of Food fabulous - Edit
I popped along with a Vegetarian Group to this Restaurant. Its a pop-up restaurant meaning, that it won't be situated at a particular address permanently, it is due to close down here in Rathmines and hopefully it'll will have been found another home for the time being. Anyways getting back to the review at hand, It's very poorly sign posted, I was advised that the sign post was small, well how true is that. Upon arriving inside eventually, I found the environment to be very negative, very down and out building its in. When I arrived, I was shown the menu. The price is a BIG plus. I was most appreciative for that, for a guy or even a person who has a low budget. However with this mind, I can see why the price was low. I had a three course meal for €20 which is acceptable. However I'll go into further detail.
My first course was:Chickpeas and Kale Koftas paraley sioli/fennel and apple salad. This wasn't too bad. However as I later learned the Koftas or as the American's call it CornDog(Not sure if that's meat thou), I immediately began to devour it. It tasted exactly like the one I had as a kid in Romania Orphanage. The salad thou I found was very acidic, it was burning my lips etc., and even upsetting my stomach.
My next course was the main: Lentils and Aubergine Meatballs Creamy fennel and Dill sauce/garlic crostinni/pomegranate salad. The main wasn't too bad. Again very acidic. The bread was slightly hard, however I have since explained that it was roasted.
And my third and final course: was the the dessert aka the Lemon and Poppy Seed Cake. This was absolutely stunning. Enjoyed it immensely.
And as my last part of the review, I must give credit to the chef, the presentation of each course, was outstanding. I was most impressed. So my favorite meal, was NONE, but I most enjoyed the Koftas, as part of the Starter
Pros: Presentation of Food fantastic
Cons: Poorly sign posted, Food very acidity, Location of Restaurant NOT favorable

fantastic place - Edit
Vegan cuisine! Food that is made for vegans to enjoy not just happens to be vegan.
So delicious, lots of choice and reasonable prices. Everyone I eat only one course I'm so full and satisfied. Currently in a pop up space in Rathmines that they need to leave soon and really need support. Anyone know anything about a permanent space they could have a chance with please contact the owner Bart. Keep this place going, amazing to have a full vegan only menu in Dublin.

Best Vegan Food in Dublin!! - Edit
In a city where Hummus, Falafal and Pasta Primavera dominate vegan menus, Sova Food is a rare and delightful find! The all-vegan menu is innovative, refreshing, wholesome and made with love. Reservations are a must. Highly recommended!

Sova Food Vegetarian Butcher in Rathmines - Edit
Unbelievable, really worth a visit, just amazing. Great crowd on it's opening night in it's new venue. Nice guys running the place, the vegan burger I had was truly wonderful, with a brilliant vegan Mayo, that they could make thousands out of, if they bottled and sold it. And we are going again tonight.
Pros: Unbelievable, Great crowd, brilliant vegan Mayo

Amazing food & friendly service - Edit
It was my first time at Sova Food on Friday and it was absolutely amazing. I'm not vegan myself but the food was delicious. Can't believe more people don't know about it. The location was in Paris wine bar in Dublin 1, such a perfect location, the interior was cosy and cute. I really enjoyed the Chia Burger, but couldn't fault anything at all. I really hope it takes off and becomes a permanent eatery in Dublin. Will 100% be back again!
Pros: Excellent food, Very friendly staff and service, Price was extremely good
Cons: NONE!

Yummy food in great location but the name??? - Edit
Friday evening in Dublin a full vegan menu. How great is that? Delicious food, friendly and relaxed service, good prices. €13 for 3 courses. Only thing I don't like is the word 'Butcher' in the title. Oh & 'Vegetarian' of course. The food is 100% vegan. I am guessing it is sort of a joke to use Butcher and a way to attract non-vegan customers but in 100 years or so when nobody is exploiting animals then maybe(and that's a big maybe) we can start using these words but for now it doesn't help animals. Words like bacon and tripe are used on the menu and to me are off-putting and don't whet my appetite but instead remind me of the horrific and disgusting ways which we use animals. To me those words represent violence and death and have no place on a vegan menu in a vegan restaurant. I would encourage people to talk about this to the people running it.
Pros: Great food, Friendly staff, Great location
Cons: Speciest language on the menu

robbie5050 13 Jul 2016 - Come on please, It's a great name for a Vegan Restaurant.
I just asked my Vegan sister and she says - I agree that the meaty names on the menu are slightly off putting but i think the name is great.
So 50/50.
I think the name is wonderful.
