Lots of vegan options!

We love going to Southern Thai Cafe each time we visit Mt Gambier. So many options available on the seperate vegan menu - just ask the staff for one. We ordered the Green Curry with tofu and veg, the Pad Thai, roti bread (entree) and a side of coconut rice. All were delicious and large portions. You can request a takeaway container for 50c. Only thing missing is a vegan option on the dessert menu. Overall, definitely worth the visit!

Pros: Has a seperate vegan menu - just ask the staff, Meals are ready quickly, Big portion sizes - takeaway containers for 50c

Cons: No vegan dessert options

Go here if you want choices

Ask for the vegan menu - there's heaps of options! It's quite a novelty to be able to choose from multiple options in this town (rather than just selecting the one vegan option by default). Tom yum, lemongrass stir fry, and green curry are all delicious. Highly recommend

Not bad, but also not very interesting

I tried the lemongrass stir fry but I barely tasted the lemon grass and it was in a creamy (coconut?) sauce - to me that’s not what a stir fry is like.
Portion was pretty big though, food came fast and staff knew about their food.
It really was not bad but I also wouldn’t come back as I’m used to better, more authentic Thai food.

Pros: Many vegan options (on special vegan menu), Big portions , Plenty of veggies in the sauce

Cons: Not so cheap ($22 for a dish and rice is extra), Not very authentic Thai , Taste not bad but also not good

Oh my gosh!

The best Thai in mount gambier and arguably SA
try their lemongrass stir fry. It is amazing.
They have lots of kid friendly items
Noodles and rice, roti
Affordable for the sizes you get.

Pros: A seperate vegan menu , A huge space , can almost guarantee seating , Kid friendly
