South Square Cafe

Had a lovely popping hot tasty broccoli spinach and leek crumble and one of the best salads I've ever had, lots of variety and flavours, tasty and filling!

They did have 3-4 other vegan options on the specials and a number of options on main menu too, I had no room for cake but they had a few cakes that were vegan and had soya cream or ice cream too ;)

Will be back!

This is one of my most local veggie restaurants. Set in lovely surroundings and easily accessible by any mode of transport you are guaranteed decent, fresh veggie food. The owner seems lovely, helpful and non-effusive, maybe a little to cool for some? My only ever small criticism is on my last visit the vegan option came with a hearty dollop of non-vegan coleslaw which was quickly rectified. Maybe homemade chips would make this place perfect.

South Square Cafe is much more than just a "cafe". The food is excellent, well prepared and nutritious, my favourite being the burritos. The cafe also has a small gallery attached that often has interesting pictures displayed. Often very busy on a Saturday.
