Good soup. perfect location - Edit
If you ever go to Lucca, make sure to drop in for a quick lunch or dinner or even takeaway at this bar style restaurant. The square where it is located is very calm and has a church fasade painting worth watching during a meal. The soups are fantastic and very filling, served with fantastic full grain bread (which is rare in Italy). In addition to the soups many smaller dishes are served, like crepes, couscous (with optional meat balls or vegetables), spinach and cheese pie, aubergine parmigiano. The place is very busy, but the staff is friendly and the place is very informal and child friendly. Make sure to visit if you do not have time for a full cena, you need takeaway or go in a group with diverse diets and food choices. This has a little of everything for everyone, pick and choose from the exhibited food, eat at once.
