Flavor is uncreative - Edit
I ordered the Jazzn Jambalaya bowl for $16. The kitchen is in a "Ghost Kitchen" type of business. It's inside of a place called SoMa Eats Food Pickup.
Read moreNow on to the flavor. It's not absent....but it's boring! It just tastes like soy crumbles over rice drenched in tomato sauce. It doesn't have the distinct jumbalaya flavor.
Pros: Vegan
Cons: Expensive for what you get, Boring flavor, Cumbersome ordering on-site

Not the same love as in person - Edit
We’ve eaten at their Oakland location, and this take-out only place is a low recommend. We are very enthusiastic supporters, but the food was super soggy and burnt (yes at the same time) and poorly flavored.
Read moreThe love we’ve experienced cooked into the Oakland location is missing from this shared kitchen experience.
They also didn’t include any eating utensils nor napkins. They do not answer their phone for curbside pickup.
Pros: The Oakland location was lovely
Cons: Expensive, Poorly cooked and packed, Curbside pickup a hot mess

One of the best places - Edit
We ordered over $100 worth of food twice and the food was so delicious each time. Everyone ate even the non-veg friends. My brother in law still talks about the spicy fried chickn it was so delicious he is not even veg. This is a great place for all. The Mac and cheez was alright tbh but everything else was A1

Delicious and varied - Edit
Everything we had was delicious and filling - collards a bit spicier than my preference. Mashed potatoes, southern fried tofu and Mac all top-notch. Didn’t have the fried okra!

Okay Option - Edit
Great to have an option in this area. Potato salad & grits with gumbo were great. The chicken fried steak rendition was very oily.

Souley satisfies - Edit
So glad Souley Vegan set up shop across the Bay not with just one but two ghost kitchens, one in SOMA and the other in Lower Mission, to satisfy some deep Louisiana Creole cravings. On this first jaunt on this side of the Bay, I had to go with a classic, the Ain't Gator Po'Boy, not only because it reminds me of my last meal in NOLA, but also because it's so darn good. And huge. And filling! And it comes with a side of seasoned fries. Come with a big appetite because Souley serves big flavors that will definitely leave those Creole cravings satisfied.

Great portion sizes, food ok - Edit
I don't eat southern food too much so it was difficult to know what it was meant to taste like. A lot of it was very sweet (the yams and the fried tofu) which wasn't to my taste, but mostly the food lacked some flavor. The mashed potato was delicious though!

Best vegan comfort food - Edit
So happy Souley Vegan opened a location in SF! Just as delicious as their Oakland location. Recommend getting a platter or combo because you'll want to try everything. Southern fried tofu is a particular stand out dish :)
