Closed (temporarily or permanently)? - Edit
Took the street car and walked down a random residential neighborhood an hour and a half after their posted time they opened. Lights off, something covering their glass door. No hours signs or other indicators.

The true vegan experience
(Maybe they changed their hours and HC just never updated? There were no business hours posted on the door)

Tasty - Edit
I was here a couple of years ago and remember it being a very tasty experience. Soul food for the heart and stomach. I got the nuggets, Mac n cheese, and sweet potato fries.

Expected a bit more but I’d still come back - Edit
Got the Po Boy with Impossible meat and fried tomatoes. Not the best vegan meal I had on my trip but I still enjoyed it and would come again. It would be cool if they did something more unique with the Impossible meat.

Pros: Used Impossible instead of Beyond, Plenty of vegan options, Vegan section on menu
Cons: Could be more unique

Glad to Have the Offerings - Edit
Fried cauliflower was not as I had hoped. I believe it was made with coconut milk. So, it was on the sweet side. Onion rings were good but seemed store bought. Fried green tomatoes were the highlight. Omni husband enjoyed the greens and catfish. I had the vegan wings and had expected so much more. They were not tossed in a “wing sauce” nor was one offered.

Vegan spinach artichoke dip!? - Edit
Get the vegan spinach artichoke dip! I haven't seen this on a menu anywhere, even fully vegan places. It's really good! I forgot to take pics of our other food but we got the vegan Mac and Cheese, gumbo and grilled cheese as well. Mac and Gumbo was pretty good, grilled cheese was super basic but for only $3 I really can't complain. The vegan food is split up and labeled on the menu. We sat at the bar and our bartender/waitress was hilarious and so friendly. This place does have more of a bar vibe though, a bit dark as well but overall it was great.

Decent straight-forward food - Edit
I ordered the Jamaican jerk burger and impossible po-boy. I was hoping for a bit more flair on the Jamaican jerk burger— it really came across as a pretty standard impossible burger.
Read moreThe po-boy was similar— but I’m more intrigued by places that offer vegan po-boys with things like fried oyster mushrooms. The bread was great.

Really good food with great staff - Edit
Really enjoyed the gumbo, sliders and vegan chicken wings. Quite loud if you’re looking for a quiet place but it’s got good vibes and shisha if you fancy it!

This place is a must go for vegans in New Orleans. Best vegan gumbo by far!! - Edit
This place happened to be around the corner from where the meat eating group I was traveling with wanted to have dinner. I thought I was safe cause they had a mushroom entree, but it came with bacon. Soule Cafe was three blocks away, so I hiked over there with my lady and we were warmly greeted by the owner. Its vegan heaven in a town where eating vegan is a challenge. I got gumbo, fried green tomatoes and some delicious bread pudding bites. I will go straight to Soule Cafe as soon as I get back to New Orleans!

Two-hour wait for gross food - Edit
The menu posted online is not accurate. We were provided with two menus, one for drinks that had many vegan items listed, and another paper menu with just food. The only vegan choices available were those on the paper menu - either an Impossible or jackfruit burger. After ordering we waited almost two hours for our food. I had the Impossible burger, and it was dried out and over-seasoned. My friend never got his food. They were kind enough to remove the food we never got but gave no other discount for the two-hour wait.
