We love vegan soul food! We love it, and this place, so much that we went for dinner and the next day for an early lunch. Visit one gave us BBQ Tofu, melt in your mouth Cabbage, Mac-n-Cheese, Candied Yams, Cornbread and super-moist Chocolate Cake. Visit two gave us the Marcus Garvey Burger, Beef Patty, Pizza, more cabbage and yams and Strawberry Cake. Our only complaint was the 2 punch drinks we had were incredibly sweet.

I had the curried tofu sandwich with vegan mac n cheese and Hebrew rice as sides. The sandwich was awesome. The mac n cheese had an odd flavor, not bad. Just more like how mac n cheese with beef tastes than just straight mac n cheese, and kinda greasy. But good, just be aware that it might not taste as you expect. Overall, the food was affordable and tasty.

We arrived in a terrible rainstorm and were so happy to get inside and get the food we'd been dreaming about. Alas, even though it was listed online and on the menu posted in the restaurant, they had no cake. Didn't even say they were out, but that they "don't serve it." Huh?

I had the pea soup, which was actually delicious. My wife got a sandwich and mac and cheese and ended up throwing most of it away. We've been to several Soul Vegetarian restaurants around the country, and while the food has varied in quality, the staff has always been exceptionally pleasant. The Tallahassee restaurant is an exception. This was the kind of dreadful experience that means we'll never stop at this place again, even though it is fairly convenient to a trip we take regularly.

I drove 58 miles to eat here after reading the reviews. I was not disappointed. I ordered a sandwich with curried tofu. The whole grain roll was very fresh, as were the vegetables (salad lettuce, tomato, and onions). The tofu could have used just a tad more spice for my tastes, but was still flavorful. My omnivorous 18 year old son loved it. Look like this will be a monthly thing.

My husband and I love coming here. We don't like giving money to non-vegan restaraunts, nor do we trust them. The food here is always amazing; always the same. Everything on the menu is delicious. Usually there is a line of omnivores ("wow this isn't even bad for vegan food") spilling out of the door, so we call in and the food is ready to be picked up in 10 minutes. The deserts are the bomb, the atmosphere is comfortable. There is a half off platter special on Sunday.

I had the mildly spiced curried tofu, well seasoned brown rice, and collard greens. Had a side of their Mac & cheese, voted among Tallahassee's best. And, yes, it is truly good. Non vegan dining with me enjoyed its creaminess, too.
Ordered pizza and a sandwich pattie for eating later that day. Both excellent, cold and when re-warmed for dinner. Pizza crust crisp & crunchy, without being dry, topped with smooth cheeses tomato sauce, & mock ground meat. Near the top of my list of best pizzas I've tasted. The pattie dough was moistly flavorful, with lightly seasoned lentil filling.
Non vegan companion enjoyed the collards, red beans & rice and cornbread, remarking how cornbread could be so good without eggs of animal milk.
Excellent, tasty food, friendly staff. Order at the counter, food will be brought to you in quaint, relaxing dining area with sounds of smooth jazz to dine by. Take out & catering also available.
Desserts looked good, but I passed since we had homemade vegan goodies in the car.
Also has a smoothie/juice bar that seemed quite popular as people picked up pre-orders while we dined. Definitely worth a return trip.
