Foods amazingly tasty

Foods amazingly tasty and fresh and soulful. The customer service is excellent, they go above and beyond. Vegan cheese and their play on BBQ ribs is to die for. Sweet potatoes collar greens are fire!

Pros: 100% Vegan, Ample amount of seating space , Yummy soulful food

Cons: Parking can be a little hard to find when busy

My #1 ATL Destination

I've been coming in from outta town to ATL for 12 years and this place is my favorite spot to eat delicious vegan food. I loved Soul Veg even before I was vegan. The care in which the food is made can be felt. Andre 3000 from Outkast has been known to stop in from time to time from what I hear.

Historic Business; fresh food

Soul veg has been doing what they do well for decades. They don't bother with fancy decor or white tablets to do your order on our any nonsense. Just whet matters; good healthy food and friendly service.

Pros: Delicious, Comfortable atmosphere, Very kind servers

Not sure

The food looked amazing, but after 45 mins we were not served drinks or appetizers. Think you should probably order take out from here.

Pros: Looked good, great reviews

Cons: Table service

Phenomenal

Everything that walked by as I was waiting for my food looked and smelled amazing. Then my food got to me and I started drooling. Went right in with a big bite and was not disappointment. My only sadness came when I had to leave, as I don't live in Atlanta and there is no place like this where I'm from.

Pros: Delicious, Prices are great, Quaint

Cons: Wait time was a bit long, but worth it

Very good vegan soul food

Enjoyed the BBQ "kalebone" twists and mac and "cheese." The mac may not be for everyone because it is not especially creamy, but if baked mac is your jam, get on it!

Pros: All vegan, Comfort food

Cons: Slow service

Disappointing

My garlic split pea soup was too salty and my spinach seaweed salad was mainly romaine lettuce and wilted. I waited 45 minutes for just a soup and salad. I’m glad other people like this place because I won’t be coming back.

Pros: 100% vegan

Cons: Too long a wait, Soup was too salty , Salad not fresh

For me this is everything

Delicious vegan comfort food. The mac and cheese is OMG. The "kalebone" twists perfection.
Eat here and when your belly is full and happy (it will thank you) walk a few yards over to the Highland Inn and say "Hello" to Pirate the Hotel Cat (because he's dreamy.) My perfect date night - though my date might be a little jealous of how much I like Pirate. 💖

Pros: The food here = Love, It's so frickin good, It really is so frickin good

Cons: Service can be a tad slow - but worth it!

Delicious Southern Vegan Fare

Food was so tasty and very reasonably priced. It was pretty busy on a Sunday around 12:30 and service was a little slow but once we ordered the food came out really fast. Everyone there was super friendly.

It's a no fuss little spot that I highly recommend checking out when in the area.

Highlights were the mac and cheese, eggless salad, and anything with the onion gravy.

delicious, well-priced, southern food

this place is incredible, the interior is old-school, the servers are extremely attractive, and the food is top-notch, greasy, soul food heaven. my mother and i split the brunch with the two pancakes, tofu scramble and veggie sausage patties, and WOW, never have i ever had such delicious pancakes, and for only 11 dollars between the two of us (we weren't even able to finish, we had to get some of it to go). this place is highly recommended, the prices are amazing, and the fried cauliflower and the lentil soup are an incredible combination. i've always gotten lucky with parking, maybe because i get hungry at the randomest times. and i have YET to try the ice cream, but i will surely be back the next time i am in atlanta.

Pros: well-priced, filling, huge portions

Cons: parking, the service is a bit slow sometimes

It's okay

It was okay, some of the food was very garlicky and salty. I'm New Orleans, so I'm used to salt, this was a bit overwhelming. The brunch plate was great. I think it's worth a try if something on their menu interests you!

Pros: Brunch was good, 2. Huge portions, 3. Calm atmosphere

Cons: Didn't get refills, Salty and garlicky food, Felt almost ignored by our waitress

Yummy and Affordable Vegan Soul Food

This restaurant offers a delicious vegan take on many Southern foods. Entrees are $4.50 and sides are under $4 - a very good deal. I enjoyed my country fried steak with gravy with collards on the side quite a bit.

Pros: Good variety, Friendly staff, Affordable

great brunch

One of my favorite vegan brunches to get in Atlanta. Four stars because they still use styrofoam and plastic bags for to go orders, and the atmosphere is always a little too quiet.

Pros: great vegan pancakes

should have listened to other reviews

The other reviews are right. DON’T dine in, call in a carry-out order. They have one person working the front of the house. I didn’t get a refill of water the whole time I was there, even though I asked twice. But like everyone else, I couldn’t give his place a bad review. The food is fantastic and worth the hassle.

Not bad

We got the Harvey burger and a platter with BBQ cauliflower, mac and cheese, and collard greens. The sandwich was good, greens were good, cauliflower was alright, and the mac and cheese was okay but it had that weird artificial aftertaste that some vegan mac and cheese has. It was still alright, just not anything amazing. Service was pretty bad- I think they might have been training the owner's daughter to wait tables or something. She gave checks to the incorrect tables 3 times while we were there and we had to ask for water and remind her what we had ordered.

Cons: Service

Go for the food but don't stay to eat

This was my first time going to the restaurant. Don’t make the mistake of parking in the lot. By the time I placed my order, then checked on my car to move it… It already had a $75 boot. The establishment is sparse and the waitstaff is not attentive. All that is forgiven because the food is outstanding.

Pros: Food, Prices

Cons: No parking, Waitstaff not nice

delicious

All of the food here is delish and they are one of the few all vegan places on uber eats atl. I like the BBQ tofu and Mac and cheese. The collards could be better. Also make sure you eat the cornbread right when you get it since it doesn't keep well.

Comfort food with absolutely no fuss from the staff

Believe the hype, the food is amazing. I recommend take out because the table service was horrendous. The portions are also larger.

The best!

I seriously love this place! They have the best collards I've ever had (and collards are my favorite food - no joke). Everything they have is delicious. They weren't joking with their name, it is soul food in the best light. The wait staff is pretty nice and accommodating to boot. I think they may have changed their mac-n-cheese recipe because it seemed different from a year ago. It still tasted delicious though! Be careful for parking though. Cruise around the residential streets to find street parking and it is just a short walk.

Pros: Delicious, Friendly staff

Cons: Parking sucks

soul food family run

Looks like a hole in the wall but the food is great and 100% vegan. Try the mac and cheese, egg salad and the "kalebone" which is their house seitan protein. I had it in the gyro and it was so so so yummy.
