Underwhelming and greasy - Edit
I went here based on the reviews here. But my experience was underwhelming. The ramen was clearly labelled vegan, which was nice (I had the Shoyu vegan ramen). But the contents of the soup were very limited - 3 pieces of tofu, some noodles and scattered veggie. The soup wasn't very flavorful and to my taste excessively greasy. I've had cup-noodles that I enjoyed more than this. Also, to my surprise, I couldn't get extra noodles in the ramen after I finished the ones I had - which is supposed to be pretty standard at a ramen place.
Read moreThat being said, it's a properly Japanese place where locals eat and the atmosphere was to suit. Go there for the experience, not for the food, I'd say.
Pros: Japanese, local vibes, Clearly labeled vegan
Cons: Greasy, not very flavorful, Sparse - not filling

refreshing shoyu ramen - Edit
They have two vegan options and both cost 1300 yen.
Read moreI had Vegan Shoyu (Vegan Soy Sauce Flavored Ramen), which was light and refreshing like a salad, so if you like a creamy spicy taste, go for Vegan Tantanmen (Vegan Tantanmen Ramen)
Be careful not to order "Veggie Soba (Veggie Ramen)," which is not even vegetarian and contains seafood
The restaurant currently opens at 9am, but the vegan menu is available only from 10am onwards

2 options, tantan very good - Edit
I had the tantan ramen, they have a machine you order at before you are seated and the two vegan options are outlined in green. It was peanutty goodness. The last couple slurps might have been a bit salty but then the tomatoes were down there and the bites with those were heaven.

Not your typical ramen! - Edit
Not sure why this place gets so many mixed reviews...? Their veggie soba was one of the best bowls of ramen I had while in Tokyo - the broth had amazing depth of flavour, the noodles had a wonderful chewy texture and toppings were plentiful & delicious. Can't wait to try their new Tantan ramen! Not your typical bowl for sure, but definitely a lot healthier - highly recommend if you're in Tokyo station!

Not the tastiest Ramen but worth trying - Edit
It's okay. Wouldn't go out of my way for again. Has TVP and pinenuts on top. Nut allergy vegans beware. Better vegan ramen in T's tan tan cups. 1200Y per bowl. Not really worth it.

Good! - Edit
Downstairs look for the takeaway food court/grocery area (huge and busy, you can’t miss it), look for the signs towards ramen st, and then go down 1ST AVENUE (little alley way thing just off ramen st). Tastes fresh, even better with heaps of cayenne pepper added. Good little find, also has a big sign saying ‘vegan’ out the front on those Japanese material flags. Only two options to choose from, but grateful nevertheless since it’s been tricky finding places in Tokyo!

Delicious vegan ramen - Edit
Tricky to find because Tokyo station is huge and full of eating spots. As the app says, it’s in Ramen Street, which runs off one of the big busy isles with food and character toy shops. You order out the front on a machine which is easy because the two vegan ramen options are marked vegan on the button. A waitress came and offered us an English menu so we could see what was in each ramen. We paid 1,200 yen per ramen. The surroundings are simple, cute and clean. Staff are helpful and the ramen were delicious. I got the vegan soy sauce flavour ramen which was very mild broth with some nice vegetables through it and my partner got the vegan tantan ramen which was quite chili hot. I would recommend this place and would go back again.

Soranoiro Nippon - Edit
My review from January 2018 below still stands, and this place has been consistently amazing since. It’s really 5-star ramen. One update to report is they updated their menus with two new vegan ramens with legit vegan ramen noodles (previously they only had buckwheat available. The new ramens are AMAZING! Don’t leave tokyo without eating here. Follow the signs to “Ramen Street” at level B1F. (Please note that the ramens change numbers on the vending machine occasionally, select the ramens with the vegan symbol—everything is clearly marked.)

OMFG! Eat here immediately if you can!!!
Soranoiro Nippon is an incredible ramen restaurant offering some of the best vegan ramen options I have ever had...bar none. I found that at most ramen restaurants, you have to preorder your ramen from a machine. This machine is in Japanese, but the vegan options are clearly marked (I went during busy times so I just pushed the vegan button instead of asking for help). I ordered #14... HOLY **** it was SOOOO delicious that I *ate the whole thing* (both times I went)! I never finish a bowl of ramen so that says something.
I'm not entirely sure what the broth is made from (though it was confirmed vegan) but it was DELICIOUS. They also added lots of delicious veggies such as broccoli, tomatoes, sweet potatoes (which taste much different/better than the US version), etc. When I first saw the noodles looked like buckwheat noodles, I was sad, but I turned that frown upside down as soon as I tasted the noodles. The noodles tasted so good, they were firm and had a spring to them. I actually prefer them over some other ramen noodles. They put some other toppings on the ramen like a white cream (which they confirmed as vegan...I was a PITA about this) which was really good and they had lots of toppings you could add on the table (such as dehydrated garlic, sesame seeds, spices, etc.).
The restaurant is super small but it's has a really neat atmosphere. All you will really hear is slurping because everyone is enjoying this delicious ramen and not really talking! I haven't gotten the slurping down yet, but I'm trying! :D
Note: This location is very difficult to find, but once you find it you will never forget where it is. This restaurant is located in Tokyo Station (outside of the fee area) on Ramen Street, I believe the area is called B1F. There is a little hallway where you will see several lines of people, Soranoiro is in there, I promise!

This ramen was a little different from the others I’ve tried. It was still tasty but I preferred the more classic ramen. Provide garlic chips, cayenne and hair ties! Try it out if you’re near Tokyo stations Ramen Street.

Plenty of vegan and veggie options. The food, however, was pretty average. They leave cayenne pepper, salt, pepper and garlic granules on the table. After seasoning, the food was decent. Torn between a 3 and 4 star rating.

Hard to find, but worth the search - Edit
Delicious vegan and vegetarian ramen ordered through a vending machine (with the help of super friendly staff).
Read moreIt’s a little hard to find because it doesn’t correspond to the Google pin (we actually walked past it 3 times!) It’s on Tokyo station ramen street, level B1.
Locate the McDonalds on the ground floor and go down the stairs to B1. It’s a short walk from there. Currently (July 2019) there is a big 10th anniversary ramen promotion with a giant 3D ramen bowl and loud video - Soranoiro Ramen is just to the right of the video screen. Note the pictures that have been posted showing the front of the store.

Good vegetarian and GF ramen - Edit
This place is ramen street (B1) at Tokyo Station, find the stairs by the Mc Donalds on ground level and go downstairs, it is not far from that point and there is also a map. The stuff is friendly and the ramen was delicious. It is hard to find places that do vegetarian ramen so I can’t compare much with others but I did enjoy the ramen so much so that I had more soup with an extra dise of risotto rice. We came back twice 😊
