Great food, wonderful staff

Sophie is the best. There are a couple of regular menu items that are vegan, including a delicious breakfast burrito. She is also always doing specials and most of the time one of them is vegan. Lots of vegan baked goods too. Sophie is super sweet and really wants to make good vegan dishes. Not phoning it in at all, which is a very welcome change from most of the restaurants in this area.

Great vegan options

We had the sandwich which was very good. They had non dairy milk and I liked their coffee. The staff was very friendly. It was a beautiful fall day so that we could sit outside and enjoy the sun.

Pros: Sandwich , Coffee, Outdoor seating

Amazing sandwich

Admittedly I was hungry from a long bike ride, but the Draz on Italian was one of the best sandwiches I've ever had. Didn't try anything else but there were several options. Food came fast. Chef came out and talked to everyone which I thought was cool.

Pros: Awesome sandwich, Great service

Cons: None, other than serving meat

Delightful lunch stop

Was headed through the area and found this great option. Wish I had taken a picture of the Buddha Bowl before digging in. Tasty and very fresh with brown rice. Their three bean chili was vegan and gluten free, with an assertive but great flavor.

A vegan-friendly gem in Kent

I'm only allowed to give Sophie's 4 stars because they're not a fully vegan restaurant, but if I could I'd give them 5. My partner, John, and I stopped in for lunch during a day-trip to Kent Falls. I had the tofu scramble breakfast burrito and he had a buddha bowl. The food was delicious, with fresh quality ingredients prepared with care. It was a beautiful day and the three outside tables were taken, so we made ourselves at home in the little gazebo out front.

The cafe itself is bright and welcoming, as are the people who work there. Our server Heather was incredibly helpful and friendly. Sophie herself came outside to chat with us, sharing how she's stopped preparing the non-vegan version of many of her favorite baked goods because the vegan (and often gluten free) version is just better. We even got to meet Sophie's mom, who does a lot of the cooking and baking!

Sophie has a table at the farmer's market on Fridays, so we stopped by on our way home and picked up a vegan bread stuffed with spinach and pine nuts and vegan pumpkin chocolate cheesecake brownies.

I would say that we'll be back the next time we visit Kent, but the truth is I think we'll be spending more time in Kent because of Sophie's!

Updated! More vegan options

Update: some great vegan pastries added, at least 3 vegan mains options on menu.

I had the ELT, with eggplant bacon, and it was really well made. There are also salads and bowls. I wish there were more vegan options, especially because the pastries look so good, but maybe they’ll add more if we keep going!
