Good value on lunch special

We were seated “outdoors” in a plastic tented area with propane heating. I had the spicy eggplant with tofu and it had a good amount of red and yellow peppers and fresh basil. The food and service would get five stars.

Colorful Thai food

Sophia's has nice atmosphere. They serve meat, but have several vegan dishes on the menu. They also have dishes that you could ask for "no egg", or something like that and they are willing to accommodate. The lunch special (#T-8) Cashew Stir Fry is a Sautee with fresh garlic, cashews, celery, green onions, & bell peppers, and is fully vegan and comes with a side salad and a fried spring roll. I always tell the wait staff that my dish should be fully vegan so as to avoid any possible errors.

Other vegan items include (but are not limited to):

A-8 som tom: shredded green papaya, carrots, tomatoes, green beens, peanuts, citrus dressing

A-16 nam khao: tofu, crispy noodles, peanuts, cilantro, bell peppers, citrus-plum sauce

N-3 Curry Noodles: Round rice noodles in red or green curry with Thai basil, bell peppers, green beans and snow peas.

N-4 Glass Noodles: Bean thread noodles tossed with cilantro, lime juice, red onions and spices.

R-1 Basil Fried Rice: Stir-fried rice with fresh garlic & Thai basil, jalapeno peppers, green beans, bell peppers and snow peas.

CURRY
C-1 Jungle Curry
Traditional green curry with bell peppers, green beans, snow peas, and Thai basil.

C-2 Red Curry
Versatile red curry with bell peppers, green beans, snow peas, and Thai basil.

C-3 Yellow Curry
Sweet & sour yellow curry with pineapple, bell peppers, green beans, & snow peas.

C-4 Massaman
Classic southern Thai curry with potatoes, carrots, pineapple, and peanuts.

C-5 Boss's Favorite
Green curry with asparagus, Thai basil, and bell peppers.

Pros: nice food, fresh veggies, steamed or fried tofu

Cons: serves meat and dairy

Last time I was there I was told none of the curries are vegan. They’re made with fish sauce
