Vegetarian-friendly Korean chain - Edit
This is a chain that serves healthy, veggie heavy dishes and has many locations around Seoul other than the one listed here. 씨앗된장시래기밥 and 도토리비빔밥 are vegan. 3대시래기국 and 붐향쑥국 are deceiving, have anchovy powder so it isn't vegan.

Very little veg - Edit
The only main on the menu that didn't obviously have meat was tofu with kimchi, but when it came the kimchi appeared to have meat in it. I don't speak enough Korean and the owners don't speak enough English too find out for sure. A bunch of the sides that came with it also looked like they had meat in them.

Watch out. Non-vegan sides - Edit
It's nice to have a veggie-friendly franchise around, but there are more animal products in the food than you can see.
Read moreMake sure you tell staff that you do not eat fish products, because most of the soups are based on Korean anchovy (myeolchi 멸치). Unfortunately same applies to the sides, e.g. the glass noodles smell of beef (bulgogi 불고기) and there are oftentimes stripes of fish cake (odeng 오뎅) in it.
If you know which dishes are vegan, however, those are well done. After all, you can also fill your tummy eating from the buffet - braised black beans, green peppers in bean paste, acorn jelly, soy bean sprouts etc. should be safe.
Pros: common franchise, cheap
Cons: not clear what is vegan or vegetarian

Many branches - Edit
One thing I love about Soonnam Siraegi (순남시래기) Is that they have branches all over Seoul and all over Korea. It's great to see a vegetable packed menu with vegan options offered and promoted so widely. Even smaller cities around Korea have a branch; put 순남시래기 into naver maps and you might see a branch near you. Siraegi is the leaves from a radish or cabbage plant (from wikipedia ㅎㅎ). I'll add some pictures after next time I go.
