Not bad but not great - Edit
Lacking in spices and flavor. They basically cook veggies in an oil and wrap in a tortilla. I wish they flavored it more but it's not bad by any means just lacking.

They don’t really understand what veganism is. Their vegan food has absolutely no flavor and is very bland. Limited choice to veggies only, no mock meat.

The menu here is more McDougall........ and you need to get used to it. This place is not vegan comfort food. You might try Cozy Plum in Santa Rosa or Mas Veggies Taqueria in Corte Madera, you will need to order from Mas Veggie on line and walk into Veggie Grill to pick up. You can not walk into Veggie Grill and order. You will have to figure out how.

It says quite clearly that it is McDougall, but that doesn’t mean that the dishes are literally bland with no spices. I could go to the other spots you mentioned, but thought I would try to support a local taco shop. They are quick to offer you cheese and sour cream on any of the McDougall dishes, so like I said in the first place: they don’t understand what veganism is.

Most people or employees don’t have a clue what vegan is. Pretty annoying when you order a vegan item and they ask “ what kind of protein do want to add” Then you have to remind them protein is in veggies.

Found pork in my burrito - Edit
I love how many vegan options there are! I was enjoying my burrito (I had eaten it many times before) but I found pork in it. Ugh! I know it was an innocent mistake, but I can’t bring myself to eat there again.

A great place to go with a mixed crowd! - Edit
I had the veggie chimichanga made vegan - the vegan menu is oil-free, but you can mix from the two menus and they are very aware of vegan specifications and are very friendly in general. Their chips and salsa are super yummy, too! Oh, and the guacamole is vegan. For the win. :)

They have a good size vegan menu but unless you're looking for Mcdougall cuisine (no oil, salt, etc) the food is very bland. You may like it though if you like very mild flavored food.

This is the only place I've ever been to that had a McDougall Menu! The enchilada with green sauce is excellent and the veggies taste fresh. I also love their salsa bar.

Delicious food, generous portions, friendly service - Edit
Devoured a YUM-mazing vegan meal today at Sonoma Taco Shop. They offer a separate vegan menu with lots of options. I enjoyed a delicious plate of heaven aka their #57: Veggie Enchiladas - Steamed veggies topped with green tomatillos sauce, with black beans, steamed mexican rice, garnished with lettuce and salsa - all for under $10. Incredible price in Marin County, especially for such a large serving. Their salsa bar and chips are fantastic. And the service was super friendly and fast. We’ll be going back soon.
