Somos Ecuador is a super fancy restaurant that caters to vegans! Lots of interesting drinks, vegan empanadas as appetizers and a couple of great entrees. They have a cauliflower steak in a delightful lentil puree or an incredible eggplant ratatouille. For dessert, the sorbet trio is the vegan offering. They have fantastic art, cool mellow music and great decor. We eat a lot of humble lunch menus here in Ecuador so having one of the top restaurants in the country cater to vegans is a chance not to be missed. Expect to pay $30 to $40 per person but you could squeak by on $25. This is currently the highest rated restaurant in the whole country and they are hooking up the vegans!
