Serves meat, vegan options available. On the second floor of a very old and crumbling building in Havana Vieja. The staff speaks English. Vegans could ask for a vegan plate. The decoration is artistic with lots of pictures of the Che, flags, vinyls, etc. You don't feel like you are in a touristic restaurant there and the place itself is worth a look. Reported closed, Feb 2017. Open Mon-Sun 12:00am-12:00am, Mon-Sun 12:00pm-12:00am.

I tried going here three times over 2/10-2/12 and they were closed with no sign or indication why they were closed or if they were still open for business. Havana is not vegan friendly, so this would have been a good place to visit. I had to give a star rating for this review, so 1 for lack of communication.

Good food, good atmosphere in Havana Vieja - Edit
I spotted the "vegetarian food" sign while walking on San Ignacio and immediately wanted to go there, as it looked different from all the touristy joints... the building is quite run down.
The restaurant is on the second floor and has a hippie flair, unlike most paladares and restaurants you will encounter in the area. The owner and his wife are really nice and talked with us for a while.
There is no vegan dish per say on the menu, but if you ask for a vegetarian plate without eggs or milk, they'll tell you about their vegan plate, which is quite good. It came with a free mojito and a coffee. I would definitely go back there.
