Spicy, traditional Thai fare. Similar set up to Hong Ming around the corner: rice (not brown, bit of red mixed with white) and variety of buffet/bain marie dishes served on rice. Open Mon-Sun 6:00am-3:00pm. Often closes at midday.

Good selection of food

We enjoyed the food , it tasted quite fresh and varied. We got a plate of rice with 3 curry/veg dishes and a big piece of tofu (20 baht extra ). Lady working there was friendly and also give us cold water to drink.

Good cheap food

Classic jae restaurant. Food was good and cheap as expected. Paid 60 baht for a good plate of food.

Tasty 😋

Small selection of dishes. Many curries that are very spicy, with mock meats and veggies. Offers more mock meats in herbal broth, stir fried veggies, mock meat pieces and more. Changes daily! Takeaway possible as well. Cheap!

Good local vegetarian food

Quite a lot of dishes to choose from with or without rice. Fresh water and ice provided as well as a plate of fresh veggies. Food very tasty and a good amount of spice. Paid 80 Baht for the plate - it kind of seems like everyone is paying a different price?

Edit: While I got 4 dishes the first day, and 3 on the second, I was charged 80 Baht both times. The pricing really just seems to be whatever they think you'll pay?

Nice food, very cheap

Buffet style restaurant. The food is delicious. We had a good breakfast. Much cheaper than other breakfast options in town. You can ask if food is spicy; they understand. Instead of rice they have some good noodle dishes.

Finally found cheap Thai in Krabi

Vegan food in Krabi is mostly western or Indian and expensive (150 baht ), so we were so excited to find this place. The menu was all in Thai so we had to use Google translate. We ordered rice with a choice of yummy toppings for 40-50 baht. We got green curry, spicy mushrooms and krapao. They deliver through Grab to the Ao Nang area.

Vegan buffet with many options

We discovered this vegan stand while walking around. They close really early so we decided to take the lunch for take away. We ate here 2 times and it is true that the price is a little bit random. The first day payed 50 THB per rice 2 toppings, the next day we payed 60 THB for exactly the same.
The portions are small, but the regulars in all Thailand. It is true that for the topping they are not so much generous as in other stands. However we loved the fried tofu , which is a larger portion than other toppings.

Pros: Much variety

Cons: Small toppings sizes, Random prices

It’s ok for once

Typical buffet food. The springrolls are great. Some food can be very spicy so look out for it. Prices are also a little bit random. I paid 90 Baht for rice with 3 toppings which is quite pricey for the quality and portion sizes.

Pros: All vegan

Cons: Expensive , Mediocre food

very good vegan buffet in Krabi town

July 22 & 23: I ate 2 lunches here. This local vegan eatery offers a variety of prepared dishes in a buffet format. Twice I chose 3 options with rice = 60 baht each meal. The lovely owner gives you a side dish with cucumbers, green beans, and some greens, plus free water. Such a deal and the food is tasty. Please eat here and support this owner's choice to spread veganism.

Pros: tasty food, cheap price, relaxing atmosphere in a local setting

Cons: no airconditioning, but shady

Delicious vegan Thai food

Delicious vegan Thai foods for good price. Rice with two toppings just 40 Baht. Additional greens like herbs and cucumbers are for free. Water with ice is for free as well. Lady serving seems to be shy but very friendly!

Pros: Many options , Delicious , Free water free herbs

Cons: Often closed , Closes early

Standard buffet

Buffet with many good looking choices. Rice plus three choices was 50 baht.

So tasty it was great

I’ll be going back there, it is really close from the market, so it’s a really convenient stop. There is plenty of sitting and the folks working are friendly. The food is phenomenal!!

Pros: Lots of vegan options , Hella cheap, 3 different dishes per plate

Wish i could eat here everyday!!!

Delicious food, massive variety and beautiful smiles! No english signs, no english speaking. Would be back everyday if i lived here!

Really good and cheap

I went there once in the morning and actually the food was really tasty, they had many different options! Rice with two toppings for 40 bath and extra salad. They had also little stall on Walking Street night market with different kinds of fried noodles with tofu for 30 bath. Enjoyed it.

Hilariously cheap food

Plates are 30 baht, 40 for a large serving. Served over red and white rice. Free water and a plate of sides. Authentic Thai food and not touristy whatsoever. Sadly no cats to be found when we went :(

Pros: Food for two for under 100 baht

Cons: food served at room temperature

Another great ‘jay’ place

Another brilliant little ‘jay’ (Thai for Buddhist vegetarian) place. Buffet style, free water and salad. Friendly cats and super cheap! Location is indeed wrong (it’s near Hong Ming) but I have submitted the change to HappyCow.

typical Thai style vego restaurant

This restaurant is located in the same street as Hongming and it is a typical Thai style vego restaurant similar to Hongming ... the food is cooked and displayed in an unheated bain-marie and served at room temperature ... I had a sampler plate (little bit of 4 items on display with rice ) for ฿40 ... centrally located near Krabi walking street ... the resturant was cool and clean with friendly staff
