Wonderful little independent tapas restaurant in Broughty Ferry - Edit
Fourth time I've been to Sol y Sombra, first as a vegetarian and then the last three times as a vegan. Incredible set vegan menu, varied and excellent value. Staff very friendly and helpful. The dishes are well thought out and the attention to detail exceptional. Would have given 5 stars but Happy Cow restrict vegan option restaurants to max 4 stars. Will definitely be back again and again. Dundee's best restaurant?

Amazing tapas - Edit
Really lovely tapas restaurant with a separate vegan menu. I was with non vegan friends and when they came out with the first course the staff were amazing at telling me what I had and keeping mine separate. The second course was a bit of a muddle though as it all arrived together so took a bit of time for them to sort out what was mine. I had to ask them to confirm with the kitchen a couple times to be safe. It was all delicious and the staff were lovely. Great atmosphere too!

Solid Vegan Set Menu - Edit
Went to this restaurant recently with some friends, who are Omni. Ordered the Vegan set menu, and was very pleasantly surprised both at the quantity and quality of the offering. Had a similar amount of food to the Omni platters available, with each dish clearly having had thought and effort put into their presentation and flavour. Particular highlights for me were a mushroom and tomato salad, a beetroot salad, and the chargrilled skewer with vegan Chorizo and various veg. Genuinely felt that I got my money's worth without the Vegan option feeling like an afterthought, as it can in many other places!
