Tasty and affordable - Edit
Nice lunch menu, there's always a few options. I tried Arvejado with puré (smashed potatoes), it came with a mixed salad as well. They serve bread and pebre as a starter. Me and my friend wanted to have a dessert; you HAVE TO try Lucuma pie, I ate 2. Too good to skip. Btw, the waiter said everything was vegan that specific day, I'm not sure if they have vegetarian too.

Popular place but unfriendly staff - Edit
Every time we passed the restaurant it was packed with locals (so we assumed the food must be great). However, the staff was so rude to us we did not eat there.

No. 1 place to visit as a vegan in Santiago - Edit
This place is inside the mall. Kind of tough to find if you aren't local, but you can ask for directions when you get to the general area.
Read moreOrdered 2 Feijoadas, one with rice, one with mashed potato with peppers. 1 rigatoni with Peperonata sauce. 1 guiso de mote. All courses came with delicious iced tea. All courses were absolutely delightfully yummy.
The menu is in Spanish but one or two staff members speak English.
Pros: Delicious food, GF options , Reasonable cost
Cons: None

Cheap, filling, tasty - Edit
A variety of vegan options, which were flavoursome. Basic food but good. The vegan meatballs option is delicious, and usually they have a special on that day which will come with a homemade ice tea and a side salad. Also the vegan desserts are nice too. I tried the vegan icecream which was a small serving. Perfect for what you want after a big meal.

Greasy spoon - Edit
Cafe is inside a "galleria" a mini shopping centre.

Good to get a proper veggie place to eat.
Pros: Items clearly maeked as vegan or veggie.

Eh.... - Edit
Had high hopes after seeing long line at lunch...went back later in the day and had the risotto with veg & tofu and a veg lasagna. Everything looked good on the menu but was a little disappointed. Risotto was not risotto at all but more like Spanish rice and only had a about 10 tiny crumbles of tofu and a couple pieces of zucchini. Very salty. Lasagna was okay. Didn’t have the creme de coconut and had corn and green beans in it.

Pros: Lots of options, maybe other items were better?, Bread and dip served before meal, Cheap
Cons: Salty, Meals not really as advertised

I'm glad I gave it a second chance - Edit
The first time I went here it had quite a small menu with simple dishes on offer. I wasnt too impressed but it was cheap enough to draw me back again. Only the second time it was a completely different and much larger menu! So many more options with the same cheap prices. I was super pleased this time!! Not sure if the small menu is the chef's day off, but when they are there - this place is great!!

Good price, boring food - Edit
The day I went, the restaurant had five choices for a meal of the day, each one with a different price. One choice was risotto with vegetables and tofu. I saw that at a nearby table and it wasn't creamy risotto made with arborio rice... It was just rice with vegetables and tofu. The plate that I got was mock meat cut in tiny cubes with peas and carrots and mashed potatoes and a simple salad and a glass of tea. The price of what I got was 3200 pesos in January 2018. Each one of the five meals of the day appeared to be just very boring, uninspired food. The place is very busy and if you get there after 1 and before 2:30 you have to wait in a line to sit at a table. Maybe Chilean people like this type of food but I've had so much better elsewhere. Once was enough for me.

Chilean vegan food - Edit
We went there in hope to find a more local version of vegan food since I can get burgers and falafel all over the world. And we did not get disappointed! In comparison to other restaurants in town Soju is rather affordable, located in an ancient shopping gallery with outside seating, dry and warm. The food was tasty and in a good way basic. I really liked the seitan. And the Pisco Sour! And next door in the old barber shop you can get cool vegan t-shirts.

Fun Place - Edit
A place full of locals. Seems to be a hotspot. We ordered 2 different "meat" dishes, which tasted pretty much the same. Everything was a bit bland but still tasty and filling and don't forget to order a slice of the fantastic pie and buy a T-Shirt next door.

We've came here several times and the food is excellent! They offer a choice of typical Chilean food like Chorillana, pie de limón etc. Everything tastes very good and the price is economic. Recomendable!

Not very good - Edit
I ate there at around 4 oclock and was told most of the food was finished.
Read moreWhat they DIDN'T tell me was that this was the meal-of-the-day food, and not the a-la-carta food, which could all be made.
So unaware me ordered the only lunch thing they had left - a salad.
Well, the salad wasn't very good. I contained a lot of raw greens with no dressing, and boiled potato that honestly tasted nasty. I couldn't finish the salad.
Maybe the menu food is better, idk. I just wish I knew before.

Great lunch menu - Edit
Same as the previous reviewer, I went on Thursday for the big bowl of stew. It came with bread and salsa, a salad, and a tea, all for 3200. There are about 5 lunch set choices - I saw others eating the aleman loaf thing and that also looked delicious. Just be there early, there was a long queue later because no one shares tables.

Well located. Cheap and tasty. - Edit
I like where it’s located, very close to Plaza de Armas (and the subway station with the same name). The food is nice and cheap. I like to go on thursday at lunch (though you have to get there when they open -12:30pm- because it gets crowded very fast). That day they have soy stew and I seriously love it. The “ass italiano” (not a bad word, really) is delicious, it has seitan, avocado, tomato and vegan mayo. Not a fan of “completo italiano”, since I did not like the sausage they use.

Typical Chilean food the vegan way - Must try! - Edit
The place is hidden in a small shopping arcade, so you might not find it right away.
Read moreCame here for lunch to try some typical local food. Had to cue for less than 10 minutes. We figured, the food must be good if people are waiting in line for it.
And we were not disappointed! The food arrived quickly, we had the Albondigas (Vegan meat balls) with a parsley-tomato sauce and Chilean potato mash (delicioso!) and the Charquicán with vegan 'meat', veggies, salad. Each menu came with a drink (Ice tea or water). The food was very satisfying (we would highly recommend the Albondigas with the potato mash. For dessert we had a cheesecake and a lucuma cake, which were good but not amazing.
If you want something sweet afterwards, I recommend walking a few blocks to "viveg" - check out my review for this place.
Pros: typical delicious food, cheap lunch menu, big portions
Cons: not such nice atmosphere since it's inside a mall, may have to wait for a free table
