Special warm place for handmade local noodles

Cute little family restaurant serving handmade cold soba noodle dishes. The food was absolutely delicious and the staff were ever so friendly and helpful.

Some English spoken and staff were accomodating for vegan needs, with several dishes clearly marked. They steered us away from the tempura as this contains egg. Sadly the boiler Hida tofu had sold out but they added some extra fried tofu as an extra to our noodles instead.

Note that they close once they have run out of food - we were the last to get served an hour earlier than their listed 'last orders' time - so recommend to get there before 1pm.

Pros: Ambiance, Authentic and local food, Helpful and friendly

Cons: Gets busy so may need to wait, Menu options may run out

Outstanding little lunch spot with several clearly marked vegan meals

It is a little quaint family restaurant with an English menu available outside, with several clearly marked vegan options. There were several local customers inside, which attests to the quality of both food & service. This restaurant specializes in cold buckwheat soba local from the Hida region. Open for lunch only, last order at 14:30.
