Lots of vegan options including a vegan chocolate mud cake for dessert!

but the showstopper was the ginger and mint kombucha which was INCREDIBLE

All-vegetarian Tibetan café with good vibes and friendly staff. Vegan and gluten-free pancakes available! Also soya milk for drinks and smoothies, homebrewed kombucha, a vegan breakfast and many varied veg and tofu-based Tibetan dishes. One of my favourite restaurants in the area.

reliable traveller's food in cosy atmosphere - Edit
The food here is not extraordinary, but it's tasty and simple, with a good variety of foods to choose from. The atmosphere is nice and cozy. We stayed in the hotel upstairs, and were happy with the room too, clean and reasonably priced.

Snow Lion has been turning out good, simple food for over 20 years. The menu is the typical mix of of Tibetan, Indo-Chinese, and a few backpacker favorites. Food is made to order so it's a bit slow (especially when busy), but that also means freshness and flavor. Popular for coffee and momos.
