Banging foods 😋

This is a great place place to hang for a few hours! There is enough choice for brekkie, lunch, dessert & a takeaway. You will be spoilt for choice! All great, but the Abeyo Eithiopian is the best 👌

Pros: Loads of choice & great atmosphere , Solid mix of different cuisines , Equal amounts of sweet & savoury

Great

Great place to discover new and exciting vendors as well as pay a visit to established, known ones.

Most of the Vegan traders are there every Saturday

Many of the same traders are there weekly but it is best to check on the Saturdays that are not the 1st and 3rd of the month. I particularly like the Ethiopian stall Abeyo and the Indian (can’t remember the name). Also pretty good value.

Pros: Loads of options and independents, Close to city centre and lace market tram stop , Good value

Great market with a mix of gems

I love to visit and try new things. The food and animal rights organisation Veggies do lovely burgers and outreach services too.

Well worth a visit

The market is always a great way to spend an hour or two on the Saturdays it's happening. There's everything you could want, from fast food, to groceries, fresh fruit and veg, home care products, books, clothes and more. Always enjoy seeing what food trucks rock up, as they switch around every so often. Also it's a really nice social event to just meet up with some friends, grab some food, and relax for a bit!

Pros: Huge variety, Great atmosphere

Go here often

Great, and long may it continue. We go about once a month with the dog and usually get a few items and lunch.

Vegan utopia

20-30 stalls of entirely vegan offerings from food to clothing. Food mostly to eat while you're there, including burgers, noodles, pies etc. Loads of vegan cakes and doughnuts. Now twice a month too!

Pros: vegan heaven

Fab local vegan market

So great that this now takes place twice a month! There’s always a good selection of food (though I’d recommend getting there before 1pm, as the popular items sell out fast!), household products and toiletries, and also things like art work, bags made from repurposed materials, sweets and confectionary, etc. A wonderful place to buy gifts for vegans! It’s also a great way to find out about local vegans businesses/what’s happening in the local animal rights group. Highly recommend this to anyone visiting or new to Nottingham.

Vegan market on the first Saturday of every month come rain, wind or shine. Mix of food and other vegan products. Lots of awesome local regulars (Vork Pies, Cococheesecakes, Clemmies Vegan Cakes, Numinums, Vegan Junk, Veggies & Nottm Animal Rights) as well as varying pitches.

Pros: All the vegan things, Cakes and junk food treats, Dogs welcome and fussed

Fantastic local produce

I happened upon details of this market recently searching Vegan Nottingham on Twitter. I was pleased I had the time to go along as it allowed me to eat pies and doughnuts from producers not usually accessible to me.

I had a delicious doughnut from Vegan Junk Notts, and a sausage roll. My non-vegan friend enjoyed a raw cheesecake and was also pleased to be able to pick up a piece of cake with no refined sugar for her mother who avoid sugar. I enjoyed my pizza from Mission Pizza Pies, though was a bit disappointed that Cheesus Crust wasn't a pizza with a cheese crust.

There were charity stalls, burgers, packaged goods, Mac + cheese, samosas, and other non-food items.

There were a few chairs and stone blocks around where people could stop for a few minutes to eat. I don't know Nottingham well but it seems to be a good area for catching passersby who maybe weren't seeking vegan food stalls but willing to try something with the presented opportunity. Plusses also there is no entry fee which you have to shell out for vegan fests, and it's family friendly.

Pros: All vegan, Variety, Mix of food and non-food

Vegan market

Great to have a monthly vegan market in Nottingham. Good selection of stalls, both from local businesses as well as people travelling in from further afield. Good mix of products and foods available too. Bit exposed to the elements though, great on a fine day.
