Solid array of vegan options! - Edit
Was impressed by the array of vegan options on their menu that were clearly marked. They were out of the Cauli Sandwich, so I opted for the Vegan #1 on an everything bagel — was surprised by how tasty the vegan eggs were although the texture was quite firm. Slightly long wait for a bagel shop but otherwise friendly service (and quick with taking orders)

Plenty of Options, but Shared Cooking Surfaces - Edit
This place has lots of options for vegans, including a variety of different spreads. However, be careful when ordering a vegan breakfast sandwich, while they have many variations, they use the same cooking surface for meats and eggs, and won't honor requests to use a separate pan. If you don't mind your Just Egg cooked in bacon fat, that's fine, but it's not as vegan as they'd like you to believe.

Best selection of vegan bagel sandwiches in the city - Edit
Smith Street Bagels does not shy away from vegan options. In fact, they have several prominent sections on the menu. Between you and me though, the vegan breakfast sandwiches are the only way to go. Vegan #1-4 are what you're looking for. I'm personally a fan of the whole wheat everything bagel but do what you must. Remember when ordering to say "Vegan 2" and not "V2" which can easily be mistaken for "B2" and you'll end up with something very not vegan. The cold brew is pretty decent too. Better than the venture capital blank street place that has been popping up all over the neighborhood. There's curbside outdoor dining with 4-5 tables but it's not heated so dress warmly if you plan to stick around.

Quintessential NYC bagel shop with modern twist - Edit
This is the classic NY bagel spot, but they take it to the next level and have included many vegan bagel sandwiches/sandwiches to meet any craving you have! Cant believe I went so long not knowing this was here, but SO glad to have found it. Can’t wait to work through all the vegan offerings, so far what weve tried has been deliciously satisfying. Definitely a level up from what a vegan option usually is at a classic deli/bagel shop.
