Almost unrecognisable

I can't say for sure, but Small Graces seems to have changed management. The menu is now asian style, the staff are different and even the seating has changed. There is a lot more seating outdoors, but the character of this place has gone.
There are still vegan options, and the staff were happy to suggest a few. They also still have coffee and croissants (not vegan).

The food. I really wanted to love it. But it was oily, not particularly tasty and not enough vegetables, with no tofu. There are so many asian restaurants around, including two which are vegan within walking distance; with a much greater variety of meals and tastier options.. I would rather go there next time. And support a vegan business.

Coffee was OK, nothing on what it used to be.

Prev Review: Small graces has a number of vegan options, including salads, sweets and menu items (such as tofu scramble or sandwiches). Service is friendly, and staff are only to happy to answer questions. Nice space to sit inside or out. I've enjoyed a few meals here and the coffee is pretty good too.

Quality coffee and lunch in Footscray

I was back in the old hood after a long time away. Small Graces had always been a favourite for a weekend lunch in Footscray and it remained so after this experience. There were a couple of clear vegan savoury options on the current menu: the corn cakes and refried beans and the (veganised) shrooms on toast, which we ordered with a side salad. Everything was tasty and satisfying, particularly the quality vegan feta in both dishes. Even the salad was delicious (once I gave away the pumpkin), with pine nuts and pomegranate, rather than a run-of-the-mill garden salad. The quality coffee is a reason to make this your local if you’re in Footscray.

Chill vibes

A sweet cafe to hang out in with lots of healthy and wholesome choices. You can customize you breakfast in order to try a bit of everything if you're indecisive like me! Excellent coffee too!

Multiple delicious vegan options

I have been impressed by the interesting vegan options and found all the meals I have had here to be delicious. The coffee is very good too. The cafe is light and bright with indoor and outdoor seating options. Staff are friendly and helpful and coffee and meals come very quickly. I would be keen to see even more vegan options on the menu.

Cute cafe

Small Graces is a local cafe that has a few interesting brunch options. While not cheap, you pay for their use of local ingredients, creativity and eye for detail. Plus the cups are cute!

High standard

The quality and taste of the food is a very high standard. Great coffee and friendly staff makes this a solid choice. The quality comes with a price tag to match but the experience matches the $$

Pros: A nice relaxing space, Friendly service, Great coffee

Cons: Not a wide range of vegan options
