Delicious but spicy!

The ramen is tasty, but they have 4 choices of spicy... the first one is not spicy at all, but the mild one is not mild at all. The broth was good but not otherworldly, toppings and ramen were okay. Keep in mind that this is a regular restaurant with vegan option but you will seat near people eating meat and pork.

No thanks

If you get any ramen, or fried rice there will be pork in it.Pork broth, pork in the rice mix, etc

Pros: Good for some people’s eating choices

Cons: No vegan options unless u get a side of vegetable, Pork in everything they can think to put it in , Can’t order it different it comes that way

Real good ramen

This is one of my favorite places in the city to get vegan ramen. The broth is flavorful and not super salty, and it comes with lots of different vegetables, not just the usual spinach and green onions or whatever. Even better with added tofu. Maybe not the best if you like fatty/salty ramen, but I'm a fan of that natural veggie flavor.

Side note: My non-vegan friends are mixed on this place. I can only vouch for the veg ramen!

Pros: Vegetable-heavy

A food pill at best.

Totally overhyped and pretty underwhelming. Noodles taste like packaged dry ramen, broth also tastes like it came from a soup packet. The only thing that makes this ramen just O.K. are the additional toppings and add-ons. I don't plan on returning. Service is adequate. So far I haven't found an overall better Ramen than San Sui Tei in Little Tokyo.

Pros: Lots of fun toppings, quick table turn around

Cons: mediocre veggie broth, mediocre noodles, fish and pork smell in air

Very satisfying!

Perfect on a rainy day. After some romping and frolicking in downtown LA, my friend and I decided to get some nice hot soup. I will have to say that despite being vegan for 5 years, I have never had the chance to try real ramen.

Walking in on a Saturday evening, I could not help but notice the seemingly uniform demographic of the crowd-mostly guys and gals in their mid 20's. Promptly, we were greeted by a nice young man. My friend and I were seated within 5 minutes at the counter top in front of the window (per our consent, since he asked if that was okay). The main part of the restaurant seems to be designed to seat large parties and/or accommodate communal type seating.

Alas, we ordered our veggie ramen with vegan broth. Mine with extra tofu and my friend had her's with extra 'shrooms. This place took me by surprise. I was not expecting to be working on the "regular" sized bowl for a good 30 minutes. As a matter of fact, upon seeing the serving I thought "thats it?" (with regard to the noodles. i looove noodles). But that bowl runs deep and there was a fair serving of mixed vegetables in it. Halved cherry tomatoes, brocolli, mushroom, corn...I was already full before getting half way through. The flavor was delicious, good seasoning and the flour noodles were supremely satisfying.

Until next time, I will be dreaming about that bowl of ramen. Zzzz...

Pros: Prompt service, Vegan options, Delicious

Cons: None as of now
