CLOSED: Slobbie

When I first went to Slobbie (more like "su-roh pi") in 2013, it was great. They had tons of menu items (though many or even most are not vegetarian), and their selection of makgeolli was also a big plus.

Each time I went back up until last year, though, the menu had shrunk, and become needlessly complicated based on what was available for lunch and dinner.

If you're looking for a nice place with a very relaxed atmosphere to cool down and don't mind paying a bit too much, I'd recommend it, but when I visit Seoul in the future, I won't be going back.

We went there quite late, almost around 9pm (closing time) so we were told they were about to close but they still prepared something for us.

I wasn't hungry anyway and I wanted something light so I just ordered a salad. The portion was huge, the veggies were very fresh and delicious!
Even though it's not a vegetarian restaurant, they have many options for vegetarians and vegans. So I recommend you to stop by if you're in Hongdae and want to eat something light and healthy.

They have english menu and the detailed description for ovo-lacto dishes, etc. However, you can ask them to make your order vegan, even meat dishes.

Definitely going back :)
