Original neapolitanische Pizza

Die Auswahl an veganen Pizzen ist gut und der Teig ist einfach fantastisch. Das Ambiente im Lokal ist allerdings etwas steril und lädt nicht unbedingt zum Verweilen ein. Trotzdem komme ich gerne wieder, nur wegen der Pizza.

Lecker und vielfältig

Es gibt mehrere Pizzen zur Auswahl als vegane Option. Dafür wird auch veganer Mozzarella verwendet anstatt ihn einfach wegzulassen. Das macht zufrieden.

Creative Pizzas, Warm Vibes

I was genuinely excited to try this new restaurant in Frankfurt – and even more so when I found out it was a pizzeria! A fully vegan-friendly pizza spot is something I’ve been wishing for in the city for a while, and Slap definitely fills that gap beautifully.
What I really appreciated was that most of the pizzas on the menu are clearly marked with a vegan option, which shows true consideration and inclusivity. Despite the flexibility, we decided to go with two of their fully vegan special pizzas:
The Avocado with San Marzano tomato sauce, oregano, garlic oil, arugula, semi-dried red and yellow cherry tomatoes, avocado cream, and roasted sunflower seeds – super fresh and flavorful.
And the Viola with beetroot cream, vegan feta, yellow cherry tomatoes, walnuts, truffle syrup, and fresh basil – a very unique combination that worked surprisingly well together.
Both pizzas were delicious, well-topped, and felt fresh and thoughtful in their composition. However, I do have to mention that even though it’s clearly a Neapolitan-style pizza place, I personally found the base a little too soft for my taste. I really enjoy a thin crust, but I prefer it with a bit more crispiness. That said, the dough itself, especially the crust, was really tasty – airy and satisfying.
While the Pizzas were truly tasty and well thought out, 18€ is certainly on the expensive side.
What also adds to the experience is that you can watch the team preparing the pizzas right in front of you. The oven is in plain sight, which adds a nice touch and a feeling of transparency and craftsmanship.
What also stood out to me is how much the entire concept reminded me of Wolke in Vienna – from the creative flavor combinations to the overall vibe and even the taste of both pizzas we tried. I recently found out, much to my disappointment, that Wolke had to close, and since it wasn’t exactly nearby to begin with, I’m especially happy to now have such a similar place right here in Frankfurt. It feels a bit like gaining back something I thought I’d lost.
All in all, I’d definitely go back to try more varieties – I’m so glad this place exists!

almost everything in vegan possible

the pizza was very good. the dough was amazing. besides that the prices are very high. outdoor searing is possible but it’s on the pedestrian zone.

Bester Teig

Der Teig ist mega lecker sodass sogar ich den Rand esse obwohl ich sonst den Rand nicht mag. In der Mitte war der Teig zu dünn und damit durchgeweicht und schwer zu essen. Trotzdem eine der besten Pizzen und gut Auswahl. Man kann draußen sitzen. Es ist schon sehr teuer und die Lage muss man mögen.

Pros: Der Teig, Sitzplätze im Freien

Generell lecker, aber...

Der Teig und die Sauce haben super geschmeckt, aber die vegane "Büffelmozzarella" waren einfach fertig gekaufte vegane Mozzarellabällchen. In veganen Pizzerias wird der Käse ja oft selbst hergestellt, und den Unterschied schmeckt man auf jeden Fall. Dafür war es aber mit 15€ pro Pizza ziemlich teuer.
