Always a great portion size - Edit
SLA will always have a very special place in my heart. It is my go-to takeaway spot. Flavourful, nourishing… what else could you possibly want? The takeaway containers are always filled to the brim which is awesome, though it would be better if the grilled vegetables were sliced in more manageable chunks. The only other point of critique I have is that recently they’ve been adding more meat (chicken) and fish (forel) to their menu which seems completely unnecessary and the forel bowl doesn’t even have a vegan equivalent. But besides that it’s definitely a must-visit!

Utrecht has 2 SLA locations and this one is a bit larger and busier (it’s in a shopping mall).
Read moreI used to love SLA, but I noticed that some foods have become less nice. In addition, they added chicken to a few bowls again (after an almost entirely vegan menu). Their main dishes can be served as bowl, salad and sometimes as a wrap.
My favourite foods are Hot mexicana (spicy), Green protein, Soba so good, Spicy tofurama, Peanut stew, Indian dahl and hummus with fresh bread.
I also recommend their smoothies and juices: tasty and fresh.
However, I found their salted caramel ball, brownie, banana bread and homemade lemonade and ice-tea only allright. I also didn’t like their caesar salad, kimchi bowl and falafel bowl that much. It’s a pity they discontinued their cheesecake, because it was my favourite pastry.

This is my favorite place to have a salad bowl! The portion sizes are great and there is a wide variety of ingredients and choice of proteins (tofu, tempeh, falafel..)!

Staff is not overly friendly but the service is still good and professional!
You can easily pay 12-15 euros for a salad bowl but given the quality and portion size, I'd still recommend it.

the shop is inside on the ground floor of the shopping center. The green protein salad is amazing!! It is less a salad (salad green is spinach but makes out only 10%) mora a really BIG BOWL for 10,50€.

My favorite health & organic food restaurant in town. You never have to feel guilty after eating here. All items are luxury salads that are filling. Also a good place to take your salad to go (and eat it in a park or at home).

Been to both this one and the other one in the city centre of Utrecht, and this one is in my experiences so far (due to its central location in the mall) sometimes crowded and short of ingredients, plus I had brown old lettuce here once. Seasonal and good options on the menu though.

Read moreSLA has been my favorite restaurant for a while! Travelling a lot I was so happy when they were opening a branch next to Utrecht centraal. They make it easy to eat healthy and delicious food on the go.
It's my go to for a delicious, original and filling vegan salad. When eating in you can sit indoor or on the terrace in the food court. I mostly take away a fast fresh salad.
Vegan options are clearly indicated and the menu changes seasonal so there is always a different delicious option. The somehow always have a great consistency and the dressing is just the cherry on top.
Bring your own box if you can, they encourage it.
Feel free to get some fresh (flavoured) water while you wait.
